Looney's is really lively. The food is good and very reasonable. The servers make sure you have everything you need and periodically check on you.

I came in and sat down.2 bartenders looked at me but didn't come over. I waited another 5 to 7 minutes before one came over. I wanted a good hamburger. What I got was two leather patty's covered with bacon and overcooked mushrooms.

Our server was personable and attentive, however the kitchen was unable to manage their orders. Our appetisers came to the table after the main entries. One member of our group asked if he could order seafood topping for his salad after the salad was delivered, the server said no problem. Thirty minutes later the seafood came out after he had given up waiting and eaten his salad. On top of the delay, the seafood came out hot instead of chilled the food was decent, however the Reuben egg rolls were dry and unappetizing. Our salads were good, but not great.

Great place to go and eat, drink and socialize.I wasn't crazy about paying $20 to get in for St Patty's day. Don't understand why they would do that if we r coming in and spending more money. $20 on top of a $50 bill. Just doesn't sit well and then lowered it to $10 when people would turn around for not wanting to pay the $20 lol. It's a side hustle to be honest

Looney's in Maple Lawn is probably the only true bar in the vicinity, at least when you think of a prototypical Maryland bar. It's fine for what it is, and I really don't have many complaints about the food or service. Yes, we have the odd experience where either food or drinks take too long or our server goes missing for a while, but these are exceptions, not the rule. My biggest complaint is how LOUD it gets, even during off hours. If management is reading these, I kindly ask that you turn the volume down when not in prime bar hours (like weekday lunch time). Otherwise, it's a sports / music / Maryland bar, and it fits exactly as it needs to.

FEBRUARY 16, 2024. After paying a admission fee and ordering drinks, I was accosted by two staff security guards and was escorted out of the establishment. The why for this has never been answered. The police were called. I tried to speak to the manager...his response "DO NOT CALL HERE ANYMORE". Oh, I'm African American. What year is this...1923?
