sandwich was bigger than my dogs head
I ordered the Greek salad with chicken and the chicken was inedible—literally—I could not chew it.
Great deli in the NY style with big portions!
Great food at reasonable prices!! Definitely recommend!
Nice family deli 😋, well done subs. Excellent service.
We were excited to eat here for breakfast on Father’s Day. Immediately upon greeting, the older gentleman had an attitude as if we were inconveniencing him. We said we had a party of 5 and he replied that he could not seat us because he had reservations. We understood this (despite the restaurant being completely empty), we were just disappointed because we had called prior to coming, asked the wait time, were told there was no wait, and could be seated immediately. When we tried to tell the gentleman this, he responded back to us with an even greater attitude. He was completely unapologetic and rude, saying someone gave us bad information. Which we understood, miscommunication happens. But to treat us like a nuisance because someone on your team messed up was completely unacceptable. I work in customer service so I understand the demand, however I would never treat a customer with such disdain.
Not sure what the hype is about, as I had a very disappointing experience. Came here after catching that a location was opening in downtown DC via WaPo, decided to give it a try. Group of 3, ordered Corned beef hash, pickle bar, Pastrami on Rye with coleslaw on the side, and cherry cheese blintzes with potato pancakes, totalling about $75 before tip.
The corned beef was flavorless (never had to salt it before), the potatos were HUGE for a hash; Pastrami was subpar served with a warm sweet coleslaw; Cherry sauce for the blintz contained no cherry at all while the potato pancakes were just okay.
While they are generous portion sizes, it's not great food--The bagels are good (nice and chewy) and the pickle bar is pleasant.
Ultimately if you are just seeking portion size this place is fine. I wouldn't bring my bubbe here, nor a friend seeking good Jewish deli food.
Seriously! Waited for 30min for a sandwich order. Was given a bag with my receipt but completely different orders. I even asked the woman to confirm and she was like yes that’s your order.
Well known for their oversized and special sandwiches. I ordered a half size pastrami with a potato salad side and it was excellent. Large number of bakery items. Pickle bar. Really great service.

Great as always. This is one of the few places we visit regularly. The sandwiches are gigantic. The half portions are almost too much for one meal! The pickle bar is special.

Closed on weekends for some reason?!
First few times we visited were positive.
Most recent visit, the staff was rude and we left without getting anything.
Wish they were more consistent.
