I want rate this place higher because the food was delicious but lack of details brings it down a few stars. Was there hot Cheetos in my Monster Burrito? MAYBE.

This place was great. I got the birria quesadillas ? my husband got the tacos. Wish they had tamales but we will have to try again next time.

I love their food, especially quesabirrias and Perditas. Good chips and salsa. Their avocado says is yummy. Drinks are not desirable because traditional sodas with high sugar. No margaritas. However, the food is worth it.

The food was overall good and came out relatively quickly. Pretty dead atmosphere though, not many other customers (one other table) and just some music playing. The server seemed to forget about our table (it was just our group, and one other table being served in the entire restaurant at lunchtime on Mother's Day). She never asked if we wanted drink refills. Don't ask for a refill of chips 'n salsa - unless you want to be charged extra to the tune of $7. The bathroom (dirty) had no paper towels to dry hands and very minimal soap available. The entrees are a bit pricey for Mexican food. And they will charge you extra for using a card to pay the bill (was close to $4 extra...a warning would have been nice). So all of these 'hidden fees' will add up and inflate your bill, giving you sticker shock at checkout (we had to flag down the server for the check and boxes...and she wasn't busy). If it keeps up like this, I could see this restaurant going out of business soon, unfortunately.

Pros and cons-Pros: food was made quickly and tasty! Good portion size. A little pricey but everywhere is these days.Cons: there were 6 so us and they brought out a tiny basket of chips n salsa which kids ate up and we asked for more. Found out later that costs 6.99. Didn’t check to refill waters even though place was empty. Sneaky charge for using a credit card. Bathroom dirty.

The Jefas is a very traditional Mexican restaurant. So much better than any chain restaurant. The tastes are authentic. The presentation is basic and authentic. The portions are very good. Not over done yet satisfying. Our server was pleasant and quick. There are several choices of beer and a wide array of Jarritos soda flavors. A definite return to this place
