Grabbed breakfast here on a Saturday morning, and it was fantastic! I had over easy eggs with crispy bacon, sausage, home fries, and delicious cinnamon French toast. The staff and service were excellent, and I'll happily go back any time I am in town!

I know there is a lot of love given to this place and I’m lucky to have a chance to even come here… but man was this place slow. They actually recommended I leave, call the number and put in an order to go since that would be faster?

Twinnys - great breakfast, value priced, friendly service On a planned daytrip to Chestertown, MD, we chose to start the day with breakfast at TWINNYS in Galena, MD. I had the sausage, eggs, homefries and my partner did the cream chipped beef over toast. Both meals were tasty, plentiful and appealing. My partner commented that she knew the cream chipped beef was homemade (not from a can) because of the butter residue in the mixture. While TWINNYS is a small venue, it comes up huge on efficient and frienly service. Finally, the prices are amazing considering todays economy and other breakfast places. On your next trip South on Rt 213 in MD, include TWINNYS in your itinerary, you wont be disappointed!
This review is based on one roast beef sub purchased for me by a relative living in Elkton. Remarks about service and atmosphere do not apply.
I'm submitting this unusual post simply because this rb sub is by far the best that I've ever eaten ( massive amounts of fresh roast beef forming a sandwich obviously prepared by a caring estabishment that takes pride in it's product). Highly recommend.

I've probably passed Twinny's a couple hundred times over the years as I travel MD 213 but had never stopped, usually because it was not a good time to eat. On the way back from a car show, my fiance and I decided to stop in for a late lunch. It looks like a rather small l, almost nondescript building on the outside and would be easy to miss except for the sign outside. However, once inside it is a nice charming place with nice dark brown tables and chairs that seats about 35 people if you count the three stools at the counter. Twinneys doesn't have a large or elaborate menu, consisting mostly of hot and cold subs, sandwiches, salads, and soupes and chili. I was told everything at Twinny's is made onsite, including the chili and soups. We ordered two bowls of chili, a cheese steak sub to share, fries, and drinks. When the chili came out, the bowls looked like serving bowls in size. The chili was very delicious Eating the large serving of chili filled up my fiance and she chose to take her half of the sub home for lunch at work the next day. Looking at my half of the sub, it looked so delicious that I had to eat it then. The cheese steak sub was also delicious with plenty of cheesesteak in the roll We had ordered the cheesecake with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, mayonnaise and wet hots. I didn't really taste any wet hots (maybe they don't have them) but the toppings on the sub was fresh and plentiful as was the cheese steak itself. I noticed the tomato slices looked like they had an oil on them like used in a salad. Not only did that make the tomatoes look inviting but it added another level of flavor I have not tasted in other cheese steak subs. The fries were crispy but tender on the inside and hot like the rest of the food when it came out. The service was pleasant and prompt. We also noticed that they have a carry out near the rear of the building. We enjoyed our dining experience and the food very much. We will be willing to stop at Twinny's again when passing through Galena around meal time.
Great small town restaurant. Family run. Just special

My Family and I were on vacation and wanted to have breakfast out at a local place and Twinnys seemed good as any. Our wait time to order was about 15 min, our waitress was polite but we had to ask for coffee refills, there a total of 9 other customers in the dining room. Our food took 38 minutes to come out, I thought there must be something wrong with the pancakes as they are paper thin and undercooked with wet batter still inside the paper thin pancakes, I hate to even call them pancakes because they are more like a plane wrap tortilla. I asked the waitress to return them as they are undercooked, paper thin and tasted horrible in my personal opinion. Then, an older woman with glasses and a loud voice came back to our table and very loudly told my family and I that those flapjack things were pancakes that people come there for, its what Twinnys is known for and they will not be taking the pancake order off my bill so I said fine I will pay, I said this to get her to go away but her ego was to damaged to accept the fact that someone does not like there style pancakes so she continued to say the same thing over and over, this is what we're famous for, for 45 years, that means nothing to me or my family. They also kept our untouched undercooked pancakes and still left them on my bill..lmfao..unbelievable !! Take away, customer is always right when approached politely which is how I live my life, as someone in the resturant business this lady has learned nothing in 45 years and takes everything to personal. They also made us wait for 15 min for our check with only about 6 people left, My daughter is a waitress at a very busy resturant and said the staff will make problem customers wait for thier checks, this is not fair but its life. So, I had to ask for the check, which our waitress would not bring it back because of who knows why, probably because we didnt like the flat jacks... anyway I have no issues with anyone on this planet, some folks are to wrapped up in their own world they forget how to see. I left her a nice tip for the incomplete meal and rude attitude her boss lady gave us as none of that was her fault. I will never return to this resturant again, its a shame how people are these days, the food is not worth the ride the wait or the money, cook at home you will enjoy it more when you have that love cooked into your food that you will not get at Twinnys. I have been in customer service for over 28 years and do my job well while helping people solve thier problems. This was not the case at Twinnys, your on your own like being in a 3rd world country. Learn by this review as it cost me 65 bucks for the lesson of never return to eat at Twinnys place.

well if you are serving pancake that are descised as crepes you should let customer know also real bad customer service when the whole kitchen staff is talking about you because you were not happy with a dish that was sent back. never eaten and charged for. horrible business. bad customer service
Stopped in for breakfast with husband and daughter. . when are order came out stack of pancakes looked more like crepes rather than pancakes they were thin doughy and no flavor Asked waitress to take them back. At that time we could here everyone in kitchen talking about us . Then a older heavyset woman came out of the kitchen and started raising her voice about how Twinneyss was known for their pancakes . Well that is fine but for us they were not edible .. so in order to stop woman from berating us in front of room of customs we told her keep it on bill we were done .. so we paid for pancakes that they took back to kitchen. Worst customer service ever. Someone's pride was hurt. If you have pancakes on you menu serve pancake. Gave one star because it's the only way you can post review

Stopped in Twinnys for breakfast with my Husband and daughter . Husband and myself ordered western omelette. Daughter ordered ham and cheese omelette and we order a stack of pancakes to share. When pancakes came they were so thin they were more like a crepe. Told waitress they were not what we expected she took them back to kitchen where we could hear the whole kitchen staff talking about how they are their famous pancakes. So then out from the kitchen appears an older heavy set woman who comes up to our table and starts to raise her voice about there famous pancakes. So in order to quiet her down my husband says whatever keep them on the bill we were done being berated by this woman. So we paid. Fo pancakes that were never returned to our table
