Grump's is excellent.

Ok, so I was hesitant to try this place due to some of the reviews, but I am soooooo happy I did!!! I had Pancakes, Turkey sausage and scrambled eggs. The food was delicious! One more time for the pancakes.. they were so fluffy, and that cinnamon butter was chef’s kiss!!!

The atmosphere is cute, cozy and family friendly, and the prices were very reasonable! The cinnamon coffee was a winner as well, and I drink my coffee black!

I will be a returning diner!!

While the food was excellent my father's day experience was very much a disappointment when my 4yr old daughter was accidentally doused with syrup by a very careless server. As syrup ran off the plate and into her hair and down her back, I can honestly say that it took everything in me to not physically destroy the young kid moving way too fast that I had to take a walk outside. While outside, I made the decision to pack up our food to go and get away from the restaurant. Although my 1st experience at the restaurant was ruined, the food was amazing and the rest of the staff was great!!

Be aware of roaches. I did not eat after seeing the roaches and lack of concern. I was taking pics as the giraffe was cute but there was an uninvited guess in the picture. I was refunded but wasted an hour waiting. Nice but unconcerned for hygiene they just sat another group at the table with roaches. Management said it’s okay.

They responded to this review faster than they reacted to my concern. Yes we were refunded but a party of 4 was sat down same table, while I asked for assistance 3x. Like mistakes happen but staff showed no concern as if roaches at a resturant is normal.

Food looked good! Honest experience

Grumps is the bomb, just busy on the weekends, but worth the wait!

We went for a ride around Maryland to look at the scenery and happen to stop here. It should be called grumpy's Cafe. Because when you get your food, that's what the customers are.

$25 for two of us to have breakfast, and the food was ice cold. The sausage patties were paper thin, I think they heated them up in the microwave. Like rubber. Same with the thin pancakes. I just ate the eggs. The guy took my plate and never asked why i didn't eat my meal. He had pajamas bottoms on. ?
I wouldn't be surprised if they took the sausage patties and put them back in the kitchen to re-serve. Floor was filthy. It was just a bad experience. ????

First time customer of the Crofton location. Placed online order for pickup. Ordered chicken/waffles, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, grits and French toast. Eggs, French toast and waffles were delicious. Chicken was mostly breading and fried hard. Grits and fried potatoes were missing from the order. Didn't notice until I got home. Phone number remained busy the entire day so I was never able to contact the business. How is that even possible??Lived too far to go back. First and last.

Started coming back to this place because my kids like it. Today, they accidentally gave my daughter a waffle with corned beef hash instead of a plain waffle. They literally dumped off the corned beef off and gave her back the same waffle. She was too embarrassed to send it back, so she had to eat a little of her waffle with bits of hash stuck to it.

The dining experience here was okay but the food at the Annapolis location is definitely better. I frequent this location because it’s closer to my house but Annapolis has the better Grumps if you don’t mind the drive. I’ve ordered the same thing at both locations and they don’t even compare.

Located on the side of a small strip mall adjacent to Johns Hopkins Road and Route 3. Plenty of parking. Decorated with a bunch of odds and ends (signs, plaques, flags, etc.). Went there around noon for brunch/breakfast (breakfast is served all day). Ordering was a little different. You have to get a table assigned first (and it’s saved with a little plastic animal with a number), and then, you go to the cashier to place your order. The Veggie Lovers Omelet ($10.99) served with potatoes and the ‘Cat Head’ Biscuit and Gravy ($8.29). Both were very well portioned (had to get a takeout box to bring home the leftovers) and tasted excellent. Got a side order of the fresh fruit and another biscuit. Coffee had free refills. Everyone was very friendly. They did offer a military discount of 10%. Nice hidden gem. Look forward to returning.

To sum it up, it was cute. So it's giving mom and pop shop. Maybe like a Gilmore Girls little town food shop.

So the food was good with no flare. So better than IHOP for sure, fresh tasting but not unique or fancy menu items. That's fine to me. We both got the Tooz or however it's spelled. One got pancakes the other French toast. No complaints. I also got a side of cornbeef hash and LOVED how crispy they made the outside. Nice surprise. The menu had a decent selection for a decent price.

So the atmosphere was very unique. Waiters wore pajamas and put toys on the table with our numbers. I am assuming the floor looked run down on purpose, idk. Either way, there was a lot that catches your eye to talk about.

Service was confusing, not necessarily in a bad way. We walked in and didn't know where to go at first but someone rushed over to give us menus, tell us our table number (on a T-Rex) and we ordered. After ordering, we weren't sure where our table was but it was by the door. We sat not very long before the food came out hot and fresh. After a while we figured out that we had to get our own drinks. Then we figured out we had to grab our own to go boxes. I wasn't opposed to any of it but you have to kind of look around to see what to do.

Would I go back, yes. Why not. I would like to try a few more things.

Welcoming, attentive, and clean! Love the menu selection, and honestly … this is the best salad I’ve had in a LONG LONG time! They even have toys for the kids to play with while they’re dining!
