On June 13, 2025 at 7pm, I made an online order that was made incorrectly and when I asked for a refund. I was told they don’t allow refunds. The male in the black polo shirt who seemed to be the manager on duty claimed it is tropical smoothie policy not to provide refunds. He also claimed he didn’t know when the next time the manager would be in. The smoothie bowl ingredients were not fresh & the base was açaí bowl was frozen. If you want a fresh smoothie or açaí bowl, please go to Nekter Juice Bar in Crofton, MD.

My boyfriend and I visited last night and it was terrible. It was 8:15 and the lights were already off and chairs up. We actually thought they were closed already. We ordered a Bahama mama and blimey lime with light ice. When I got my blimey limey it was thinner than juice so I asked to have it remade a little thicker. The cashier had a terrible attitude, he grabbed the drink from me, dumped it back into the blender and proceeded to add 3 scoops of ice to the already made smoothie. The smoothie tasted like trash. I didn’t even bother to ask for a refund. I should have known from the minute I walked in and saw lights off at 8:15pm.

I ordered a blueberry bliss and it tasted just like water and she told me she could not remake it then told me it was the blueberries she was using and then told me I could not have another drink and she would not refund me my money. Even after I paid and she told me I was not allowed to have anything else . I will never come here again very rude and disrespectful

just witnessed an employee tell two ladies behind me that they can’t order. lmao. they walked out. I certainly would have. Be prepared to be rudely asked several times if you’re ordering or picking up as soon as you walk in. probably a few times. they were super unfriendly here and we waited 10 min to order (we were first at the register). it was just a shitty atmosphere which is why I’m here complaining. I was only along for the ride with my sister in law. not coming back to this place after seeing how the employees treat customers. ☠️ I’m in the service industry myself and if you’re good at your job you don’t take your attitude to work.

I did an order and asked for no bananas in my Acai berry smoothie…it didn’t taste right after one sip. Went back to tell them and they refused to change it. It wasn’t sweet or even bitter— just weird tasting - like bananas or something bad in it. Still they refused to change or exchange it because I made an adjustment (no bananas). You would think that for $12 they would want to make sure the customer was happy. So disappointed. Gonna stick with what I know- Smoothie King. Won’t be back.

Was enjoying my Baja wrap until I bit into a shard of metal.. thought it was a chicken bone.. but the pics I have prove it. I normally wouldn’t post a review because who has the time… but after talking to the manager and she telling me that it could’ve gotten there once I got home made me pretty mad. I don’t want anything out of this. Just wanted to inform them that they dished out food to me which contained a shard of metal.. and had I or someone sealed this (like my son who’s 3 and who I get this for us every once again) swallowed this…. It would rip their intestines apart. So yeah needless to say I will never eat here again.

The Manger took my order incorrect. And blamed me refused to refund or remake my order that she messed up. All while her employees laughed at her for her ignorance. She said policy is no refund or remake. Which none was stated on my receipt. She had a nasty attitude from the moment I walked in. I frequent tropical all the time and I will never return to this location even if I was starving. This manager needs to be fired and removed from this location.

Today I had the worst experience at the Gambrills, Maryland location. As a veteran, I asked if they offered military discount. I was told no; first, I was told you have to go through the app. Then I was told no discount, but the owner is military. I asked for the owner‘s name but the assistant manager came out and was very rude. She said her name was Andrea.

I asked for her name by writing it down, she refused and told me to write it down myself. I had nothing to write with. She then told me to use my phone, which I did not have with me either. She next asked for my name with no explanation as to why she needed my name . I asked why was my name needed. She then turn and said I’m gonna refuse to serve you gave me my money back.

I asked for the store number and mentioned that I would report this bad customer service to the corporate office, She then proceeded to say that she was gonna call the police and that the video is playing and it has audible. I said that’s great so the corporate can listen and see exactly what has happened.

I will never return back to this location. I should’ve known there was a problem here based on the low ratings. I will be sure to share my experience with others. I suggest providing more customer service training. The manager did not set a good example for her subordinates.

Best place Ever! The nicest,most friendly people I have had the pleasure to meet and I have seen them everyday for years now and they have maintained the highest level of service ever. Best smoothies and food in town.Breakfast every morning,and I know its healthy!

I bought two smoothies but forgot to ask for no sugar. When I took the first sip I realized that there was sugar and I asked if it could be remade. The guy behind the counter told me that if I wanted it to be remade, I’d have to pay for the smoothie again. This was by far the worst experience that I’ve had with Tropical Smoothie. First why in the world is sugar being put in a smoothie anyway, it’s nothing healthy about a smoothie with loads of sugar in it. Then where is the good customer service, I did not like my drink so the right thing to do would have been to make me another. I was so disgusted that I threw the whole smoothie away. I can still taste all of the sugar. A complete waste of money.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! I usually go to this place almost everyday and never have an issue, but today there was a worker I have never seen before and she was absolutely disgusting and rude. Me and my 2 friends went in and ordered smoothies and food. One of the smoothies was made incorrectly. So she simply asked if there was pineapple in it because she couldn’t taste it. This lady, she was short and black lady (i think was the manager) wearing a black shirt speaking very rudely and in a condescending voice going on for 10 minutes, saying how it is my friends fault she doesn’t taste the pineapple and the lady wouldn’t admit to not adding pineapple. My friend was very respectful and left the conversation with saying “it’s all fine no worries”. As we sit down waiting for my other friends food to finish, the employee gets another customer involved still speaking about the situation rudely with us right there, and speaking to the employees about it as we are waiting silently. She ended up throwing my last friends food on the table and we left. NEVER go here, the lady has horrible customer service and wouldn’t own up or fix her mistake.

Awful service and experience DON’T GO HERE! I went with my friends to get dinner here, my friend had a question concerning her smoothie when a short black lady in a black tropical smoothie shirt I’m assuming a manager comes over and starts being extremely rude to my friend. After my friend proceeded to say “it’s no big deal I was just asking a question” and sat down the lady continued to talk about us behind the counter and consult OTHER customers about the situation. When we proceeded to say “you don’t need to talk about us.” She proceeded to argue with us. What happened to the CUSTOMER is ALWAYS right. Horrible service will NOT be returning here again. We gave them our business and they treated paying customers like that. UNBELIEVABLE.

I don’t understand why if I’m at the counter to pick up my order, instead of handing it to me in my hand I’m bypassed and my purchase is set on the table for me to pick up. No it wasn’t busy, I was the only one in the store at 7:30 in the morning. As a customer, this practice is very off putting. I was however promptly greeted upon entering the store and was told to have a good day which was kind.
