Applebee's Grill + Bar

While we usually enjoy going to Applebee's, this most recent experience left a bit to be desired. While the service was excellent, the food left us a bit flat. My tomato soup had an overdose of cheese and there was a metallic taste to the soup. The garlicy green beans were dry and missing seasoning and the pasta was dry and missing enough sauce to complete the dish. Usually we don't have any complaints, but felt that something may have been of that evening.

Unfortunately, this chicken Parmesan was disappointing. The chicken was noticeably dry and tasted like it wasn’t fresh you can tell just by looking at it. The breading and sauce couldn’t make up for how overcooked it was. The pasta itself was fine, but the main protein ruined the meal. I wouldn’t order this again.

Fine for Applebees, food is whatever.

I’m just wondering why they’d close the Applebees in Frederick to tear it down and put a Raising Canes, whose food is bland, when there are better places to put it? Like, I get people love Canes, but did they really have to close Applebees up there for it?

This Applebee’s is a solid spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable, making it easy to enjoy your time. The drinks are great, especially during happy hour, and the service is usually quick and friendly. Overall, it’s a dependable place to grab a casual meal, watch a game, or just unwind without spending too much.

The grilled shrimp and chicken with mashed potatoes was GREAT, it looked so appetizing and was piping HOT! Service was excellent. Our waiter was great.

Rat traps beside the table, close to the wall...Disgusting! I dropped my hand sanitizer and discovered it fell on a RAT TRAP! Mortified! Needless to say, we made our EXIT!
