Caspian Kabob (Germantown, MD)

I had koobideh kabob from Caspian Kabob that was delivered for a birthday party over the weekend. Unfortunately, the kabob was extremely salty — so much that no one could eat it, and most of the food ended up in the trash. When the host called to complain, the owner was very rude and completely denied that the kabob was inedible. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, he claimed that someone at the party must have added salt to the kabob. We explained that all the kabobs were equally salty, and he admitted they were all made the same way. Very disappointing experience and very poor customer service.

As a Persian family, we’ve always made a point to support fellow Persian-owned businesses like Caspian Kabob. Over the years, we’ve ordered from them many times and encouraged others to do the same.

However, our most recent experience was unfortunately disappointing. We ordered kubideh for about a dozen guests, but the kabobs sizes were noticeably smaller than before and the kabobs were extremely salty — to the point that they were not edible. I was quite embarrassed and had to quickly order pizza to replace the meal.

I called the owner the next day, not to request a refund, but simply to let him know so he could look into it and improve future orders. Sadly, instead of showing concern or offering an apology, he dismissed my feedback, insisting that “kabobs cannot be over-salted.” When I explained that none of the guests could eat them, he even suggested that something must have happened after I picked up the food — which was quite upsetting.

I still believe in supporting all hardworking Persian businesses and wish Caspian Kabob success, but I also think sharing honest experiences helps improve quality and keeps our community’s standards high.

Grateful great people nice aspatality which support you

I have not visited this place in well over a decade maybe longer. We decided to give it a try on my Brother's recommendation. Walking in nothing had really changed except the prices but that is everywhere these days. The gentleman taking our orders was nice and got us situated right away. The food took a few minutes to come out as it is fresh prepared not under heat lamps. I ordered the Lamb Kabob. Our food was brought out to our table and the serving size was generous. Plenty of meat, rice and bread with a nice tomato. I really enjoyed the meal, lamb was cooked perfect, the rice was delicious as was the bread and tomato. I wish I had not waited over decade to try them again. Everyone there was also very nice and the facility was clean.
