The best Moby Dick branch! The Persian lady at the cashier was so nice, helpful and kind. The food was fresh and delicious, and the place was clean. Overall, a really grear experience!

A regular since it opened, usually really good food. I usually get the gyro sandwich. This time, the bread was soft and doughy like it wasn't fully baked, and they really cut down on the amount of meat in the sandwich. I will probably try it again, but please don't rush the bread and be generous with the meat like you use to.

I like the food and customer service, but let me say that what uber eats doing through online orders is a shame and it may have negative impact on restaurant. On 9/5/2025 I ordered Joojeh kabob online through uber eats which had advertised “buy one, get 1 free”. It charged me for two. I tried ordering 1 and 2 pieces at once, but the situation didn’t change. Finally, I cancelled the orders and paid in person to the restaurant Moby dick in Germantown.

Update on August 19:
Visited here again on Tuesday and ordered same items via Uber Eats and a bottle of Organic PomegranateJuice in the store. The juice tastes great and authentic.
Ms. Nadi (Nandika) always delivers excellent service and I really love her warm smile. Kudos to her and the team!

I ran some errands at Bank of America around noon on Saturday, and although there were many restaurants nearby, I felt Moby Dick really stood out.

The two female staff members were incredibly warm and friendly. I really liked their smiles; they were so infectious and made the whole atmosphere in the restaurant light and cheerful. Plus, their service was very efficient.

I ordered two Joojeh Kabobs via Uber Eats because there was a BOGO deal. The Joojeh Kabob portions were generous, and the two sauces were tangy and appetizing. The rice was fragrant and chewy, the salad was fresh, and it also came with pita bread. The staff packed the food very securely.

The entire restaurant was very clean, tidy, and bright, and the staff were very prompt with their cleaning.

Went to Olney location. Gyro meat was crispy dry and the bread and feta not fresh. Quality has significantly dropped. Will not return

Great food. Everything. Been a regular for many years. Good vibes when dining in.

Got here from Texas and was supposed to meet a friend who didn't show up. I looked up and went to this place. I was NOT disappointed, though it would have been better with real dish and silverware instead of plastic, but I guess it's easier to manage and keep thing clean if you don't have to wash dishes. I got a small Moby Dick side salad and got their ground meat and chicken and rice dish. It was really good and there was a lot of it. I ate the whole thing but I struggled to finish it all. If I lived around here I would most definitely come back again. Also and a plus I talked to the lady taking the order and she helped me find good parking behind the place instead of parking on street.
I highly recommend this place.
