New York bagel in Germantown. We used to go regularly when we lived nearby, now it's a special treat when we are in the area. We've never been disappointed with anything we've tried. This is a hidden gem.

Great eats and awesome staff. Their triple decker club sandwiches are drool worthy in anticipation of getting one! The bakery opens early and is just off 270 which is great for all the early morning commuters. I picked up both breakfast and lunch on the way to work. And they stock Dr. Brown's soda which reminds me of bagels with Grandpa!

I am not supposed to eat bagels, but when I do, this is where I go. The jalapeño bagel and the olive pimento cream cheese are so good! I just wish I could go back in time and replace all those visits to inferior bagel shops in MoCo.

Food is great, employees are wonderful. Sandwiches are killer and the bakery selection has everything you'd want. Perfect deli spot.

I'm a fan of Royal Bagel Bakery & Deli in Germantown! The bagels were soft on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside, just how I like them. The lox and cream cheese bagel was delicious, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. It's a cozy spot with great food and friendly service.

I've been here several times for the bakery, and it's great. The other morning , I got an iced coffee and it was horrible. I had got a sandwich the day prior and the bread was too thick in my opinion. I personally will stick to the baked goodies.

One employee has to ruin it for everybody. Their selection doesn't impress me much. Ok, that employee was a short female and you know what she did? She yawned!!!! And she yawned without covering her mouth.

The German Chocolate bomb was almost entirely pecan frosting. With the fresh-ish decaf coffee on a rainy Monday night near closing - it was amazing. The iced, small sugar cookies were stale but the unfrosted were fresh. The $5 iced sugar cookie was good but $5 for one cookie is a bit much.Parking out front and loud 80's music with cafeteria style dine in tables were great.

We have been looking for a good bagel shop / bakery in the area so when we saw that this location advertised housemade cream cheese we were excited. We arrived a little after 1pm on a Saturday to a busy store, looked at the options, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered 6 bagels: 2 pumpernickel, 1 Asiago, 2 jalapeño, and 1 other that I don't recall. We also ordered olive pimento cream cheese despite being told that the cream cheese wasn't actually made on site. The housemade cream cheese is just cream cheese that they mix with other ingredients. Given the olives were good and the cream cheese was fine, it was still pricey for something that wasn't actually house made for the prime component - the cream cheese. The bagels needed salt, the pumpernickel was an off shade and wasn't very good anyway, and for having so many available at the time (not choices but actual bagels), we were a bit surprised when we got home and saw that they were various stages of stale. We accept some responsibility for not thoroughly checking but what would have happened anyway? Would we be offered more stale bagels? A refund? The point was to try the bagels. We did. We were not impressed. Needless to say, the prices were too steep for semi-stale and full-on stale bagels with cream cheese that we could have made at home in about 5 minutes. We did not try the various other baked goods and some looked delicious. However, we will not be bothering to go back to do so given the fact that we were sold stale bagels.

Staff were friendly. The Nova bagel and chocolate donut were really good. Sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich was really bad (dried out and old). Good value and they have a lot of baked goods, but the place was dirty with cockroaches crawling around.
