Wish they still had food here but we love this bar and play pool for their league. This is an amazing place come visit in your vehicle or come by paddle board or boat.

Casual bar with a pool table, pinball machine and jukebox. There's also cornhole outside and a nice review of the water. I'm not sure if they serve food but if so the menu is very small. I didn't see any plates or customers eating.

Local chill bar.
I'm not sure what website Point Pleasant Beach Tavern says that you can paddle up to the tavern but not bring a kayak and dip in there without the owner's express permission; but wherever it is stated, I missed it completely. That's totally on me, and I own that and do feel bad that I missed that in looking into this Tavern. What changed this experience from a planned kayak excursion with the excitement of coming back to a local tavern I hadn't been to yet for a drink and hopefully good dinner into an unnecessarily negative experience began with the GM's mother walking up to my parents and I with a phone to her ear and scowl on her face after we had finished unloading our three kayaks from my dad's truck. Seeing her scowl, I immediately assumed she was the owner of a vehicle that was trying to leave; so I jumped to apologize and told her that, with having just finished unloading the kayaks, we were moving the truck now and would be out of her way asap. Her scowl went nowhere though as she angrily informed us that we did not have permission to unload our kayaks there as all of the surrounding area was private and we hadn't requested permission. My parents and I all apologized and asked if she knew who we needed to call, but she told us the owner wasn't there so she couldn't call and ask him. She then informed us that she knew we hadn't requested permission because her daughter is the GM, who she was actively on the phone with and who told her that she hadn't spoken with our group. After then eagerly asking if we could request permission from her daughter, she held up her hand in front of my mother's face, said goodbye to her daughter on the phone, hung up, and refused to ask her. At this point, instead of further inciting the situation, my parents and I decided to leave and find another place- which we did. They were really nice, and we even found out where we could go in the future for dipping in with kayaks. I'm disappointed that we didn't get to give Point Pleasant Beach Tavern a try after a gorgeous day out on the water, and I would have even been willing to pay a fee for showing up without a reservation on top of still eating at the tavern. But with this kind of service, I won't be coming back.

This is kind of a hole in the wall bar. The inside is all wood. Older style. There is a pool table and corn hole outside. There are about 8 tables outside in the sand overlooking the water. A few people came to the bar by boat. They pulled right up to the beach. The beer was cold. We were told the orange crush was popular so I had one of them. Very sweet.
