I hate to write anything negative about this place because we been coming here for many years and we never ever had an issue until now. Our server who was a very nice lady unfortunately was dishonest with us. I never had the flounder at the crab deck, so I ask her if the flounder was local and fresh, she replied that it was not local but it was a fresh flounder. The food came, by the way the oyster chowder and the crab soup were outstanding and so was my wife's crab cake. After the entrees came , ok our server never checked on our table so I just ate my fish because I was hungry. When she finally came to our table I ask her how long she has been working here and she said 29 years. I told her that the flounder was not fresh and it tasted like a frozen product. She said she will check with the kitchen, came back and she confirmed it was indeed a frozen product. All I'm saying is please train your staff to be honest with the guest. I don't think we will be returning and that is a shame because we really used to like the place. I think I would have been ok with an honest answer and I would have moved on to order something else. It is not hard to get fresh flounder and just hit it with seasoned flour and fry it up. I recommended to take that frozen product of the menu.

This is our favorite stop about half way to/from delmarva beachs. Great menu and crabs are reasonably priced. I grew up in Maryland and love to pick crabs but not willing to drop $125 for a dozen medium. The large are great here with old bay, butter vinegar. Yum.

The wife and I had lunch here on Sunday. She got a half dozen medium crabs and I got the fish and chips (see pics).
We both thought the crabs were very tasty and were cooked just right. Unfortunately, crabs are quite expensive these days so just know that you are not going to get a LOT of crab meat out of a medium crab, even at $5 a crab.
The fish and chips were cooked well also (not overly battered) and I thought the portion was generous as were “chips” (French fries). Would have liked a larger serving of the Cole slaw.
The atmosphere was pleasant. The dining area is quite large and the tables are nicely spaced so you are not right on top of your neighbor. Also nice views of water from most of the tables and good air circulation.
Seating and food preparation was prompt and servers were friendly.

I’ve sailed the seven seas, and sampled every crab known to man. Yet today, for the unholy ransom of $90, I was delivered a dozen crustaceans so hollow they might as well have been decorative seashells from a beachside gift shop.
These weren’t blue crabs. These were museum exhibits. Skeletons. The ghostly remains of what once dreamed of being blue crabs. I cracked open each shell with hope in my heart and despair in my soul, only to be met with the culinary equivalent of an echo.
If you ever wanted to experience the taste of betrayal, it costs exactly $90 and comes by the dozen.

So we stopped by returning from OC and ordered half dozen crabs for $45. It was prime dinner time but I was a bit disappointed in that the crabs seemed like they were cooked hours ago. I’ve had better.
