Went there for Father’s Day and the staff was friendly with fast service. Sitting inside on a warm day helped my family feel comfortable.
We sat at The Pearl upstairs and Bern was our bartender. She was fantastic, ensuring our large group had everything we needed. Bern made us feel welcome and we will definitely return!
I love this place. Lately Nina and Nae were great. And the lady from Carolina is forever my favorite.
WOW! What a meal! Snow Crab Clusters, and Crab Cakes, were out of this world good! Corn Risotto made by Chef Edgar was FABULOUS! Best part of the meal was our Server, CHRISTINA G! She was wonderful! Very attentive, stopped by several times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction!
Do yourself a favor and by-pass The Crab Claw in St Michaels; make Harris Crab House your new destination! Atmosphere, food, and excellent staff! Ask for Christina G!! Will definately be making the long ride to come back….. 5 STARS!
I had a great experience. The food was fresh and flavorful. The crabs were AMAZING!!! I was surprised, no females, but nonetheless, very, very good!! Everything came out at the right temperature and tasted even better than expected. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. I’ll definitely be coming back.
And.. I don't remember the bartender's name, but she definitely made some great drinks!!!
I wish I had pictures.
Wow! Not good! 4 older adults went for lunch. None of us got the crabs because no one could afford them! $87 -$100 large and exlarge a dozen! $54 all you can eat mixed. So we got a oyster platter, crab cake platter, shrimp po boy, soft crab sandwich. Crabcake was uneditable, the fried oyster platter, oysters hard as a rock, po boy was ok, just, and my soft shell was good, but had this terrible sweet sauce on it! I had asked for mayo too! Anyway, onion rings good, hush puppies were ok, fries,eh , applesauce very runny. Not a good experience for all the money! Tea was good...$3.75 a glass. Waitress was excellent. To top it off...they automatically added a 20% service charge, tip, and had the gall to ask if you wanted to add more! The waitress said they give it all to the waitress, after a day or so. If I pay with a credit card, I always pay our tip cash so the waitress gets their tip, and hopefully can keep it all! We didn't like being forced to give a 20% tip that they didn't even tell you about ahead of time! You give what you feel the waitress deserves, not what you're forced to pay! We are not going back to Harris's...this was the second bad meal, 1 being a couple of years ago, no more chances!
The crabs taste old. the shrimp had no season Bill the Manager was the worst the butter taste like oil.
Our waitress had 7 of us for crabs. She took our order, others delivered our crabs and drinks. She disappeared for an hour then I asked her for drinks. We all wanted food too but she NEVER came back to our table. I had to flag her down and ask for our check ! Told her we wanted food but she never appeared and the restaurant was empty. Horrible service and for 7 tip is built in. That’s not ok ! She maybe deserved 5.00 and made 45.00. So not ok. She will not survive there with the season upon us. Go elsewhere!!!!
Upstairs Dining. HaPpy Hour all day if you are seated at the Bar What a View. !!! Food was Awesome !!!!! Service was Great - Thank You Ms. Lippy P.s. rise up coffee @ Dessert first !!!
This restaurant is one my family and I have gladly supported regularly for decades (high school events, celebrations, regular dinners with friends). We were there exactly a year ago for my brother’s birthday and returned today for the same reason. After we ordered drinks, we were told our table of 11 was too large and they asked one or two of our party to move…we had a 4 year old with us and when asked if she could sit on one of our laps so we could comply with this new policy…we were told no. I respect that the manager calmly stood by his policy but I think there were options like separating our table by a few inches or a foot that would have accommodated our party within their footprint. I am also really sad that our waitress lost that sale. It is also worth noting that it is off season and the restaurant was not busy. I will never return to this establishment if they can’t welcome locals within reasonable policies. It’s a real loss to the island dynamic.
