Had a really wonderful dinner here. The view was spectacular and the service was phenomenal. We tried a ton of stuff but our favourites were the Cream of Crab soup and the Crab Cakes. We would absolutely come

My husband and I went to the narrows for something lite. We were excited to sit on the deck facing the water. A beautiful view. It was warm out. It took apx 20 mins to be waited on but we were fine. Our waitress apologized and was very sweet. Apx 30 min later she came with my soup and the burger was not up yet. By this time the sun was going down and it was getting cold. We decided to go in and have the food packed up. We had explained we needed onions on side when ordering because he cannot eat them. At this point we had been waiting over an hour. We paid the bill and went to the hotel. The burger was full of onions. Fry’s cold and hard. I called and explained and they offered to make another. Up to this point I was ok. Stuff happens. They never offered anything just brought us the bill. I was not looking for free but really it was not good between the wait and food situationI go to get the burger and the hostess had a bad attitude. I looked at food and questioned about the fry’s. She said we already gave them to you once.Ok. Really. 20 dollar burger. I asked for the managers number and the hostess said I could talk to her. She did give me fry’s.I explained again and then just left. Anyone that knows me would know I NEVER say anything bad on Google. I understand. People have bad days. Kitchens get busy. bUT. Being spoken to like that over a burger. Really.I have been before with good service. I am still just speechless. My plan honestly was to buy dessert when I went over to get the burger.

This is our favorite place to stop and eat to and from the beach if you want a really nice meal. It's easy to get to from the highway. Food is fantastic and the water views are incredible. The relaxed vibe is comfortable. Love eating here!!

We have enjoyed many wonderful meals at The Narrows but last night for a belated Valentine's Day dinner was a game changer. I'm giving two stars because the fried oysters and calamari appetizer were spot-on. Keep in mind that our check without any alcohol beverages (we had water with lemon and one sweet tea) was more than $100 before tip. Now the bad: - We made a reservation for 6:30 pm on 2/26/2024 and arrived a few minutes late. We provided the front desk with our name and she seemed not to know we had made a reservation and were seated within the bar area on a high-top table with large TV's that were very loud. - We ordered an appetizer and two entrees: calamari appetizer, Rockfish Special with green beans (too many green beans), and Broiled crab cake with fried oysters. Marinara is not offered with the calamari which was a big disappointment. They provided a garlic/mayo/spicy sauce and we then asked for tartar sauce (something red!). Tartar sauce was served in a plastic carry-out container. Really???? - Rock Fish entree was hot when served but not flavorful. The broiled crab cake was lukewarm and quickly turned cold on the plate, garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm to cold, coleslaw was fine but was just shredded cabbage with some sweet mayo sauce. I requested another cocktail sauce as well as tartar sauce and both were served in those small carryout plastic containers. Our meals together cost more than $100 and we receive condiments in small plastic carry-out cups??? Our waiter disappeared for quite some time as we would have brought these concerns forward at the beginning of our meal and not towards the end. The only good thing is that they provided a hot crab cake to take home. Thanks. Won't return. Better value at seafood restaurants in Annapolis.

We arrived at 6:30 pm for our reservation on Tuesday, 13 February. The dining and bar area was less than half full. The hostess led the way to the bar area. I said we had reservations for the dining room and would like to be seated there. She looked a bit put out, led us back to the dining room and we were seated. Waitress arrived straight away, very friendly, and professional, took our drink order (1 alcohol drink), and promptly returned. We placed our dinner order and was promptly served. A bowl of cream of crab and cup of half and half was great. Side of Sherry was available. Single order of Caesar Salad was ok. Baked Oysters Rockefeller (6) were small, overcooked, dry, and overpowered with the toppings. Narrows Crab Imperial was ample in portion but dry throughout and bland. The Applewood bacon strip overpowered any hint of taste of crab or the Imperial sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes were tasteless, cold and small in portion. The green beans were also bland but warm. The plate for the Crab Imperial was hastily plated for service with what seemed like a double portion of green beans placed on top of the garlic mashed potatoes. Both dinner plates were messy with no attention to presentation. We had a couple of bites and asked for our check. The total bill was $130.00. Very overpriced for the portion and quality of the meal. Very disappointed and will not return.

We made reservations here weeks ago for a special occasion. When we arrived and asked to be seated at one of the empty tables on their “porch” area- we were told they were reserved. Apparently if you want a “good” seat- you have to specify when you make the reservation. We couldn’t have known having never been here before that you have to specifically ask for a good seat upon making a reservation. We were seated nearby- so we got to look at the reserved empty tables - which stayed empty for the duration of our visit. They could have asked us if we wanted a waterfront seat when we called weeks ago. This is bad form.

Came here for the crab cakes and was not disappointed. Small chunks of crab, with nice seasoning. The garlic mashed potatoes were not garlic enough for my taste. Fried calamari was nicely fried, and the remoulade was particularly good. OK reviews on fried oysters, and a burger was a burger. Overall, a positive experience in a pleasant location.Wheelchair accessibility: Lift to the front entrance.

The view and setting is lovely. The sun room is chilly when it is frigid outside. Our server was disengaged.

I ordered some large lump crab cakes as a Christmas gift as I have for many years. However this time there were no large lumps of crab meat not even any lumps of crab meat. Needless to say the person who received this gift was very upset that she had to tell me that they were not good this time. So , that makes me very upset not just because I spent 100+ dollars on 4 crab cakes but that the person was disappointed in her special gift. I had finally found something to get her that she loves now I have to take my business elsewhere and start again...
