There aren’t enough words to describe Bertucco’s! The lovely Bakers and Staff are so accommodating, patient and helpful. Walk-in or by phone, every order I’ve placed over the years has been such an easy process. I’ve called last minute for cake orders and I have never been turned away! I just requested (literally a few minutes ago) a list of ingredients required by my venue which must be submitted no later than today. The Baker has already taken time out of her morning to write down the ingredients and sent them to me.
I haven’t even gotten to the cakes, cookies and pies oh my!

This is my favorite local bakery. Always a great selection and the service is excellent! Hands down, they have the best, biggest and fullest BOSTON crème donuts ever. They are a must try…thick and filled to capacity with cream. Don’t forget to check the far counter for the marked down day old deals! Yum!!!
I used this bakery 3 years in a row for my kids birthday. But, this year- The owner cancelled my daughter’s birthday cake 24 hours before the event because it was too much detail even though I placed the order weeks in advance and went in person to discuss the design. Very poor communication between front register to owner. Thankfully we got a beautiful cake elsewhere for way less money that tasted amazing and the owner was kind and helpful. The owner also hung up the phone on me when I was obviously upset about cancelling my order. Super unprofessional, will never be back. Reported to BBB as well.

I got married last month in Emmitsburg - (my husband and I aren’t from the Maryland area) so we went on a whim with ordering our wedding cake and desserts from Bertucco’s Bakery — we’re SO HAPPY we did! They were nothing short of spectacular! The chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were perfection, and the cannoli cupcakes were an absolute hit with our guests—people are still raving about them!
Each dessert was delicious, with fruit tarts and key lime tarts receiving endless compliments. My dad’s side of the family is Italian, and the cannolis were the first to go, everyone loved them!! The attention to detail and flavor for all the desserts was truly amazing! And what really stood out was their ability to accommodate my gluten-free needs for the wedding cake without sacrificing taste. The cake was fluffy, delicious, and beyond my expectations! We have it in our freezer right now, and can’t wait to cut another slice for our one month anniversary in a few days!

I ordered two cakes for my daughter’s first birthday party. Her party was Saturday & I picked up Friday evening. I ordered 1 large two tier & a small smash cake. The large cake was spongy-not at all fresh & had more filling on the inside then there was cake. The smash cakes icing was so thick and hard that my daughter was unable to put her fingers through it :’( . So the Monday following I called and spoke to the owner after sending an email Saturday evening with sadness and frustration that my daughter’s “first” birthday cake was unpleasing. I dropped off the “whole smash cake” to the bakery Monday evening even with a piece of the large cake to show the owner. Come Tuesday the owner sent me an email back being rudely sarcastic. This is sad all the way around & gives small business’s a bad reputation. I wouldn’t give this place even 1 star after being rudely manipulated by the owner!
Bertucco's made our wedding cake and it was absolutely perfect! They matched my design to a T! And with no surprise it was a hit!!!!! Their cake is always light with amazing flavor! Thank you so much!

The bakery is great if you order something that is labeled. Their cupcakes are never labeled and the employees never have any idea what flavor they are. The employee told my husband that the cupcake was orange. It was spicy banana. Not even close. I hate banana and spice. What a waste of money!
