I had the Shrimp and lobster pasta casserole. The dish was full of lobster, shrimp and crab. It was very rich and flavorful. The dish was filling and served piping hot. My dining partner had the grilled salmon that was very tasteful as well. The only negative aspect of the meal was she felt the salmon dish was a small portion and not filling and for me the pasta dish was so rich my stomach was immediately upset before I finished the meal. She had the bread pudding for dessert. It took awhile to get, however, it was a large portion and very tasteful. Overall, I would recommend dining there and will go again.
There were 7 patrons at 4 tables including ours and two wait staff available. The hostess, Kim, was very pleasant. We waited about 7 minutes before our waiter, Carlton, came to our table. He was also very pleasant. We gave our order, with a question about home fries. We finally got coffee after 10 more minutes. Twenty minutes after that, Carlton delivered our orders; a strawberry cheesecake waffle for my husband and two PLAIN pancakes for me. Even though I ordered blueberry pancakes and specificaly asked if the blueberries were incorporated in the batter. He said they were incorporated AND additional bllueberries would be on the top. I asked that none be on top of the pancakes. They were completely plain. He then said, "I'll be right back with your butter and syrup." He then proceeded to stop and take an order at another table. Approximately ten more minutes passed before he came back with the syrup and sides of bacon. My pancakes were ice cold by then as they were only slightly warm when they were served. I refused both the cold pancakes and the bacon. Even though my husband's was only slightly warm. he ate his food. I, on the other hand, was not interested in two big, dry pancakes. To top things off, 2 cups of coffee, 1 glass of orange juice, 1 cold waffle and 1side of bacon cost $48. Fortunately, I remembered that since we had attended a concert the previous night, we were entitiled to 20% off of our bill. It only took Carlton 10 MORE minutes to bring us our amended check. By the way, we never recieved the home fries either (or an answer about the ingredients of same). i didn't give Carlton a tip. The worst, most careless service I've had in quite some time. Maybe it was his first day. If that's the case, I might have cut him some slack. Seemed to be a fine person, just an awful waiter.
Food was enjoyable. After each course of the meal . The plates were never removed . We our selfsame removed plates to a unused table so we could continue our meals. Had to grab our own silver ware. Crab cakes were burn and dripping with grease . The only reason our meal turned out was our server Gloria was super nice and friendly.
I have to compliment Michael Frederick. This young man needs to be promoted to Manager or train to be an assistant manager. Michael kept the restaurant functional. He was multi-tasking, while still maintaining his energy and professionalism. He was the Host, he was the waiter, he was the server and he was cleaning the tables. This young man was phenomenal and I pray that his devotion and expertise gets him far in this organization.
The staff is always nice, friendly and pleasant. Although the food at buffet kept running low. They apologized because of the unusually larger customers than normal. It was fine and we celebrated the last day of my birthday month. Thank you
This is a good restaurant to go to for a birthday dinner or dinner date. The ambiance is very nice. The Old Bay Seafood Flatbread as a appetizer is so good! They should find a way to make that a big main plate on the menu. The Lobster Rigatoni was excellent
It was the worst dining experience I've ever had. We arrived at 7 pm, ordered drinks, and didn't receive them until 8:30 pm. The wait staff informed us that the bartenders prioritize customers sitting at the bar, making those in the dining area their last priority. This is the craziest thing I've ever heard. This place is so disorganized and ridiculous, it's clear the company doesn't know how to run a restaurant. The appetizers took forever and arrived cold. The service and food were so bad that the manager gave us everything for free, except for two drinks discounted at happy hour prices. Even those drinks tasted horrible. Never again.
Food was good and the atmosphere was nice. Prices were reasonable. Only complaint was that it was noisy so it was a little hard at times to have a conversation. The cause of the noise was diners enjoying themselves. Will definitely go back.
Please save your money. This brunch is one step above the free breakfast offered at your local chain hotel. Buffet offerings did not match the menu posted online. All of the savory items (sliced beef and mashed potatoes, shrimp and grits, salmon) looked recycled from the dinner service from the night before. Flies all over the restaurant. Terrible experience and waste of money.
The restaurant has no sliced onions and I've asked the Chef for them on my burger numerous times. At 12:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon, very few people were there, but I was almost done eating when my drink came out again. The glass that my Prosecco was served in altered the taste. The food preparation borders on weird. A Chef is needed badly because you can't ever make any special requests. Perhaps David could have members of his family or friends visit surreptitiously for a meal and see that it's slightly below being a first-class establishment. I tend to eat there when it's complimentary or I'm treating for business, and I know that it will be tolerable. Something really needs to be done about the lack of flexibility.

The selection of foods was good. The food was not at temperature on some items (collards) dishes ran out and was not quickly replenished and more options could be added for the price. I've been to similar prices buffets in the DMV area who provide a better selection and quality buffet.
The service was decent and it was clean but the food was not the best. It just was not tasteful to us. Hubby said, we should give it another try but I don't want to waste the money. As with other places they seemed understaffed but our server was nice.
We were surprised and disappointed to find a limited menu. In all fairness, it was pointed out to us when we arrived but due to needing to have dinner before a concert, we were hesitant to go elsewhere. It took a long time to get our drinks. The food was average. I doubt we'd go again.
Crab legs were good but small. Fish & Chips were just okay. Although the restaurant was not at all busy, once again, it took 45 minutes for us to receive our food. At least my glass of wine was 1/2 price for happy hour.
This was our family's second occasion to celebrate at David's. Both Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations were notable. Mother's day brunch was extremely joyous. The food, service and ambience were all 5 star. We had 2 tables of 11 and 12, side by side to accommodate our family of 23. Father's Day Dinner did not flow as smoothly. We had 1 table to accommodate our family of 17. Some were not happy with the waitress, and requested another one. All in all dining at David's was a blessing.
