My husband and I went to water street seafood last night for our sons 2nd birthday. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Caden was our server and he was excellent. On the way home we got a call saying we left our card which we were so thankful for.
We will absolutely be back to Water Street Seafood.

I cannot say enough good things about Water Street Seafood! Our server Coral was delightful. We came to celebrate our anniversary on a weekend getaway and were given the VIP treatment. The wine pours were generous and the food could not have been better. We had half and half soup, calamari, mussels, crab dip, and snow crab legs. I will dream of this dinner for years to come!

The food was very good. Ordered a dozen of the jumbo sized crabs with old bay seasoning. The kids had a blast hammering the claws. Will try again.

This place is a hidden gem!! Found out about it in a Google search and it was five minutes away. First I loved the decor. Then we tried the crab hush puppies, they were enough to guarantee I will return. I had fried oysters. My son had fish and chips, both were amazing. The chocolate mousse was to die for!!
We were celebrating my birthday and there was even a birthday card waiting at the table, so sweet!! Don't forget to make a reservation, they are extremely busy.

Two of us went for dinner; we shared the crab & shrimp linguini and got sides of raw oysters and veggies - all excellent - and the service was good.

The food was amazing, everything fresh ! Our waitress was extremely attentive. However the hostess was a different story entirely. We got there at 2 pm wanted to sit outside, there were three empty tables she said she can’t sit us outside because people have reservations, fine we sit inside. We finished eating at 3:30 and the whole time we were there on the patio there were 5 empty tables !! Not to mention that it was freezing inside . So if you want to sit outside make sure you call and make a reservation otherwise you clearly won’t be allowed to chose were you get seated

The atmosphere was amazing. Our group sat on the patio for lunch. Our server was awesome and knowledgeable about the menu. We split the hush puppies crab cakes and the crab bread bowl. The crab cake sandwich was amazing. Cooked just right. I would recommend and we will come back when we are in town.

I came this past weekend for a festival. We were really excited to try here, made a reservation, and everything was going smoothly. We were sat at the Smith Island table and Caden R was our server.
It was my friend and I dining together, and she has a gluten allergy. We spoke with Caden after reviewing the menu and had him discuss the gluten free options with us further. He gave recommendations and we ordered.
We had a dozen oysters, a Cesar salad, and the Water Street Cioppino. I also, had the crab hush puppies. They were absolutely phenomenal. The oysters were good too. The salad was just okay. Nothing over the top special. The cioppino for me was delicious. We also got the gluten free mousse and tiramisu to go.
When they brought our food, we asked the food runner and Caden again on the gluten free. We just wanted to confirm again since they seemed nervous. They confirmed that it was gluten free and left.
Here’s where things got tricky. I do not have any food allergies and everything was great for me. However, my friend has a gluten allergy, and she either got something that had been cross contaminated or her gluten free items were not actually gluten free. Our server, Caden, did seem to stumble over us questioning him about food items. Within 20-30 minutes of us leaving my friend was VIOLENTLY sick for hours. This was the only place we had eaten for the day. It wasn’t a stomach bug or anything like that. It was a clear case of an allergic reaction to gluten for her.
With all of that in mind, would I come here again if I’m not with people that have allergies? Yes. The food I had was great. However, if you have allergies or sensitivities, I would be leery and mindful.

I wish I could leave a five-star review, but due to cross-contamination with gluten, I cannot. From the start, I told my waiter I am gluten-free. He gave recommendations, and I trusted his guidance. My friend and I ordered the same dish, with the only difference being that she got bread and I ordered gluten-free pasta.
When the food arrived, I asked the server who delivered it to confirm that the pasta was gluten-free. He allegedly checked with the cook and assured me it was. Later, my waiter also confirmed the same. Despite these assurances, about 30 minutes after eating, I became violently ill.
This was not just a minor mistake—it was a serious health issue that could have been avoided with proper attention to food safety.
Update for the owner: Thank you for your response. This was not a false review. I will be calling on Wednesday when you all are open.
Additional update: I’m adding pictures of my meal that I had. The Water Street Cioppino is what is in question due to being told before the meal was served and after it was served that the pasta that you see in the picture was 100% gluten free
