The food was a bit too salty. I got ribs, mac and cheese, and collard greens. I enjoyed the banana pudding. With a tab bit more cookies, it would be perfect.

We discovered this gem by accident. We went in for a snack for our trip back to Virginia and as we drove off eating the delicious pork sandwich, slaw and baked beens, we decided we needed to come back and get ribs to go. Absolutely delicious, friendly staff. Felt like home! 🏡 💕

Chicken was 100% made in an oven no smoke or bbq flavor. The ribs were meaty but tasted like they used way too much liquid smoke or dirty smoke while cooking them. I’ve made much better bbq in the back yard.

For many years Dale's has been my favorite place for bbq. We moved to St. Marys so it has been a while since our last visit. For Mother's day, I really wanted a sliced pork meal from Dale's so we made the hour drive only to be very disappointed. Let me say that the service is always great. The employees are friendly and welcoming. The sauce is still amazing. My sides were so over spiced that I couldn't even eat them. My green beans were so full of pepper and red pepper flakes that just 1 bite had my mouth on fire. Their Mac and cheese was the exact same way. When they started putting red pepper in their Mac and cheese I don't know but it's terrible and I wish they would go back to the original recipe. Very disappointing and a waste of a drive for food I couldn't even eat.

Be careful. Food is good! But if you get it to go they use incorrect lids for the sauces. If one tips over it goes everywhere. They don't even warn you. And the pile on the sides in the dinner plates(which is good) but it over flows into everything else in the to go plate. Just put it in another container if you want to give so much. And use the right lid!!!
