I recently visited Grinders in Maryland and left very disappointed with both the food and the service. - Food quality: The crabs were watery, gray inside, and lacked flavor beyond a salty top. - Value/charges: I was charged for the hush puppies, fries, and tea even though the experience did not meet basic expectations, and in my view, the quality did not justify the charges. - Service: The manager was very irate, rude, disrespectful, and hostile, which is not acceptable in a professional dining establishment.

I'm a crab lover, I have had crabs from a variety of places in the DMV, once I tried Grinders, I was hooked! Grabs are reasonably priced, fresh, hot and delicious! The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. I'm so sad when they close for the winter. I get crabs from them 2 to 3 times a month and never disappointed.

All u can eat crab, fried oyster dinner and corona's. Fried oysters and crabs were perfect. Customer service was slacking, very friendly; not enough staff to take care of a few large parties and a few mid size parties. The price is pretty reasonable.

AYCE steamed crabs were so good. Staff was friendly and engaging. French fries were hot and crispy. Hush puppies were really good. I would recommend this place.

I dont know what has happened with Grinders the past year or 2 but something is off. Did ya'll change owners or management? From the poor customer service to the poor quality crabs Grinders is not the same as it use to be. I ordered crabs on Sunday 9/21 and asked for no seasoning (because Im allergic)and what I got was rinsed off COLD AND OLD crabs for $90 - totally unacceptable! I traveled over an hour for this? Never again. This is the 3rd time this summer that this happened here and despite it all I still tried to patronize this business. Im officially done.

Grinders light crabs are delicious. The seasoning was consistent my first 2 visit. 3rd visit, not so much. The Crabs were not light they were old and cold! I’m sure there is a recipe to follow, please follow it. If you don’t have the lights, just say so. Don’t force the sale by charging for something you didn’t order. Next time this happens I will be returning the crabs. Had to haggle over a soda I paid for but didn’t get. The child questioned me as if I was trying to get a free soda. If he didn’t believe me, just look at the receipt or get an adult. I think the 10yr old is the manager. Get it together please I will be back because when it’s good, they are really good. Perhaps Thursday, Friday and Saturday is the best day to visit. I won’t go there on Sunday again. Enjoy!

I have to go back to see if my service will be the same. I felt forgotten. This was my 1st time here. Maybe that's how it is. IDK. I did feel like I was home in NC at a crab shack with the wooden booths and butcher paper all over the tables. The crabs were delicious. The sweet tea was too. Wish I'd found this place earlier in the season.
