Applebee's Grill + Bar

Finally sat down inside, ceiling was absolutely disgusting and looked like mold throughout the restaurant.
Waitress was less than impressive, we were there for well over an hour. It took at least 20 minutes after our drinks if not longer for her to come ask if we wanted to get an appetizer. She was given another table after us and they got all their stuff right away food included, at this point we were in the restaurant for over 45mins. I ordered a simple *Grilled* chicken oriental salad, I stated multiple times Chicken as she kept repeating just the oriental back to me, stated she wrote grilled and it was not. I got *Fried* chicken UNDER my salad which was overcooked and extremely dry, it was so hard to eat. Part of my dressing was missing, my child ordered chicken Alfredo and it was basically missing chicken, my child also asked for another drink and wasn’t brought one but my spouse was. We weren’t even given a chance to tell our waitress of her mistake as she kept rushing us and running off . My husband was only able to eat half his burger as it was soggy fast.
We rarely eat out, and when we do we do take out to avoid as many issues as possible.
Our waitress also complained about being sat another table loud enough that the family behind us which was just sat COULD HEAR her, it was extremely rude. I’ve been in the service industry for over 15 years, I could not believe what I was hearing.
Tonight we felt like we wasted our money that could have been used at an establishment that had better waiting staff and more quality control as well as a cleaner environment.

Needs management in this place. No business and super slow service.... definitely needs to hire some help poor server was working the floor alone.

My food was very bland. I think they may have forgotten to put the bourbon sauce on my bourbon chicken and shrimp.

My food was horrible. I bought it home but was unable to eat it. That was a waste of money.
The waitress was nice but she was very slow on getting anything you asked for.

Always be one server around who doesn't want to be there, won't say a word to you food was good. Waiter was caring and did good.

We eat here at least once a month & has the WORST experience tonight.

#1) No silverware
#2)We ordered waters with lemons & did not relieve lemons.
#3) I ordered a salad with ranch & honey mustard came out
#4) ordered the $15 endless meal & ordered honey BBQ & Buffalo came out
#5) reordered the wrong meal for BBQ & there was no slaw on the plate
#6) drinks were not refilled
#7) bill came AND WAS DOUBLE BILLED

When comforting the manager Gideon he offered to take off the double billed item like he was doing us a favor. We had a very bad experience tonight.

I love love Applebee's. This visit lost one star on food due to my steak being smaller than usual and only getting 4 shrimp. It was tasty as usual though. The blackberry lemonade much drink was surprisingly good, and only $5! Wait time was 20 minutes for a party of 2 but food was out fast.

Shannon helped us today. She is fantastic. Our food was hot and delicious. Our kids wanted to make sure the chefs/cooks know how much we appreciate them too. This location is also great for takeout.

Went tonight, 10 PM.

Restaurant smelled sticky, if you know what I mean.

Service was fine. Waitress was polite and did the job.

I ordered boneless buffalo wings, waffle fries, and spinach dip. Dip was okay, portion was smaller than I remembered. Wings had a good flavor however the texture was barely crispy on outside and rubbery inside. I spit them out and didn’t finish them after the second one, wish they cooked them a little longer. Waffle fries were meh.

Applebee's is located directly off of Crain Highway in the La Plata/White Plains area of Maryland.

I passed by this restaurant for many years and decided to give it a try.

I was pleasantly surprised with the environment and food choices.

I chose the "Chicken Wonton Tacos" and the meal was outstanding! I enjoyed it so much that I returned (3 times now) and ordered the same thing!
I would have given this restaurant an overall 5-Star rating, however some of the tables hadn't been cleared from previous customers and the bathrooms had cleanliness and renovation challenges.
