Applebee's Grill + Bar

Absolutely awful experience yesterdays. Several months ago, I had a bad experience here with their French dip sandwich, where the meat was cooked into inedible shoe leather and I waited an hour just to receive my food in an empty restaurant.

Yesterday I decided to give them another chance, as texas roadhouse was packed. Service was good, Ryleigh(unsure of spelling) was fantastic, but when I received my sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, the inside was raw and crunchy.

Obviously I told management, who comp'd my meal, but after explaining my repeated bad experiences, he came back later with 3 20% off coupons.

I'm unsure what it would take for me to come back, for two experiences like this, I'm beyond disappointed with those cooking at this restaurant.

I ordered a meal for my husband and I late on 11/21 because I had back injections earlier that day and I woke up starving. Ordered pick up online, specific sides and directions. My husband picked the food up after 11-it was 😢 terrible. My grilled cheese burger was too salty to eat, the fries were old and disgustingly hard, they didn’t give my husband the right side. We couldn’t eat the meal, only the mozzarella sticks. We took it back the next morning-all the uneaten food ready to give them the business-we have over 35 combined years in food service mgt. They quickly got a mgr and Patrina was AMAZING. She was respectful, took accountability immediately and volunteered to personally remake the entire order. She was kind, believed us, gave us strawberry lemonade while we waited and produced the correct order wonderfully made. She is the only reason I will try again with this location, thank you 🙏🏽 so much! I appreciate your professionalism, kindness and training because you did everything right!

My family and I were a party of 10 and they seated us quickly and our service was great. Our apps came out before our food and I had sleeve surgery so Im restricted and they were very accommodating.

The food was good chicken quesadilla and fried pickles 😋 yummy. Soft and yummy chicken on point with sour cream and salsa.

Extremely Disappointing and Unsanitary

My recent visit to Applebee’s in La Plata was one of the worst dining experiences I have encountered. The service was 0 out of 10. It took 20 minutes just to receive our drinks, and nearly 30 minutes more for food that arrived cold, incorrect, and poorly handled. The service was extremely slow, and the order accuracy was unacceptable. On top of that, the server informed us that the restaurant did not even have real silverware available and could only offer plastic utensils, which is unacceptable for dine-in service.

What made the experience even worse was the condition of the bathroom. It looked like something you would find in a neglected gas station—dirty, unkept, and clearly lacking any proper cleaning or maintenance. This creates a terrible impression, especially when visiting with my entire family.

This location shows a serious lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and basic hospitality. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this Applebee’s to anyone looking for a decent meal or a sanitary environment.

We're here a lot. The service is always good and the food is always hot and delicious. We come at least a couple times a month and were here on veterans day so dad and I could get our veterans meal. We were not a small party but they were extremely efficient even though they were very busy due to the holiday promotion and we were seated in about 15 minutes, I got my blue mountain dew and everyone got their yummy food like ribs, steak, grilled chicken, salmon my only issue is that they replaced their delicious broccoli with green beans. Nobody wants them beans haha. Bring back that yummy seasoned and buttered broccoli because your kitchen cooked it perfectly. Great service, staff and food. It's a favorite go to for us and our family.

Just ordered bone-in wings to Go when we arrived home found the wings to be way overcooked and dried out we threw them in the trash. I recommend you check your food before you leave the parking lot

Finally sat down inside, ceiling was absolutely disgusting and looked like mold throughout the restaurant.
Waitress was less than impressive, we were there for well over an hour. It took at least 20 minutes after our drinks if not longer for her to come ask if we wanted to get an appetizer. She was given another table after us and they got all their stuff right away food included, at this point we were in the restaurant for over 45mins. I ordered a simple *Grilled* chicken oriental salad, I stated multiple times Chicken as she kept repeating just the oriental back to me, stated she wrote grilled and it was not. I got *Fried* chicken UNDER my salad which was overcooked and extremely dry, it was so hard to eat. Part of my dressing was missing, my child ordered chicken Alfredo and it was basically missing chicken, my child also asked for another drink and wasn’t brought one but my spouse was. We weren’t even given a chance to tell our waitress of her mistake as she kept rushing us and running off . My husband was only able to eat half his burger as it was soggy fast.
We rarely eat out, and when we do we do take out to avoid as many issues as possible.
Our waitress also complained about being sat another table loud enough that the family behind us which was just sat COULD HEAR her, it was extremely rude. I’ve been in the service industry for over 15 years, I could not believe what I was hearing.
Tonight we felt like we wasted our money that could have been used at an establishment that had better waiting staff and more quality control as well as a cleaner environment.

Needs management in this place. No business and super slow service.... definitely needs to hire some help poor server was working the floor alone.

My food was very bland. I think they may have forgotten to put the bourbon sauce on my bourbon chicken and shrimp.
