Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Got there at 8:15 because Google said they closed at 9. Once I was there I waited around for 7-8 minutes for someone to address me and open the window but they shut the lights off on me instead.

We've been going here for a few years now and have always had a good experience!

There's not much on the menu so you figure hard to mess up an order esp. when they write it down and it's dead. We've been several times this summer and SEVERAL times they've messed up our simple orders. The staff aren't particularly pleasant either. When you point out their mistake(s) they act like it was you who made the mistake. Odd crew. Oh they ask for tips too!

I cannot say how unbelievably amazing this La plata md Rita’s location is! The way they treat and greet their customers in such an amazing way really stands this location out!!! I have gone to other locations but have never seen one this Amazing!!! I really do recommend this location than any other I have been to!!!!! I will ALWAYS continue to go to this location especially for that AMAZING cotton candy ice!!! Thank you!!!! 😊

RITAS IN LA PLATA IS 10/10!!!! the ice is amazing!!! Employees are absolutely fantabulous!!!! They are always smiling and happy and so helpful when I want to sample something!!! This is why I will keep coming back!!! It is people like them that keep this world happy!! Desert 10/10 Environment 10/10 employees 10000000/10 ITS AMAZING!!!! THERE IS EVEN CORNHOLE!!!! COME GET SOME RITAS!!!

We love Rita’s! The La plata Md location is definitely one of the bests. They usually have teens working there who are also pretty friendly. I had the twisted custard with some peanut toppings, knowing I shouldn’t have, and it was delicious. Nice and fresh.

Just ordered from here. Scooped hair right out of my Italian ice. Disgusted.

Love the variety of flavors and different items. I do think their prices are high.

If you have never tried Rita's, you are missing out! It was amazing! I ordered a pineapple with Gelato. This has now become my go-to for ice cream. Stop in, you won't be disappointed!!
