Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

We had a delicious meal at the Hook & Reel. The shrimp boil bag was scrumptious and the spicy sauce was outstanding. Pairing with a pitcher of Guinness Blonde made a perfect meal. The atmosphere of the Hook & Reel is inside-the-ship nautical with cool portholes and a well-done nautical motif all around. Our waitress, Nickeria (sp?) was delightful and very helpful. The whole staff gave us a friendly goodbye as we departed. We will definitely be back on a regular basis!

They wouldn’t seat my family at 9:01 instead they offered Togo while others are eating. They were very rude. When my Togo order was eventually ready they just let it sit there and didn’t even tell me. The worst experience ever! I’ll never go

Everything was great, but the seasoning could have been better, I had to ask for more old bay and the fire sauce wasn't hot at all.

My waiters name is Kenny. His service and attentiveness was superb. Great personality was just the highlight of my evening. I plan to go back and I want Kenny as my waiter each time. The food and drink were good too!!

I came in for lunch at 2pm. The bartender/waitress was terrific. She was attentive and friendly. She made a good Top Shelf Long Island Ice Tea.I ordered Alaskan King Crab Legs w/spicy garlic butter. The order consisted of 2 small potatoes, 1 small piece of corn, 2 crab legs. It should have had 2 pieces of corn for the price, but other than that it was fine.

Everything was delicious and the service was phenomenal! Our server was Joshua, and he was AMAZING! They restaurant was clean and everyone was friendly. I'll be back.

If you're looking for a good place to get quick seafood this is it. If you're looking for some of the freshest seafood I would not say this is it. You can drive down the street to Kent island seafood and do it all at home for cheaper . I will say it's very beautifully decorated And I love that they give you a bib and

Food was good. Worst service EVER. Ordered food and drinks at the same time, in the time it took to cook, serve and eat our food, drinks never got here. It’s 30 minutes after we finished eating still no drinks. The waitress didn’t even come back to refill the water.

Last night was my first time at the restaurant. Josh, our server was amazing. The food was good for the most part. Everything was going well until I noticed the wallpaper. I asked the manager Jessica, and she said she didn't know about it. Clearly, someone did because they tried and failed to cover it. I called around 1pm today to speak to the GM Nancy. She was rude and very defensive. She also claimed she didn't know about it either. But made it a point to say "they are not racist," and she "knows the owners" "it's like a caption hook theme from Disney"I never said she was racist but still I rise.When I stated one of the servers said it's been there for a while. She replied, "I'm sorry I didn't pay attention to every single detail in here. I just know none of my staff put the tape there. It was probably the other management.I just wanted this to be corrected immediately. I didn't need the attitude. Apparently, this location has been there for 3 years. And no one has said anything. How?Nancy said they cut that part out. I assume she meant the noose. I asked her to paint or strip the part with the tree. She said, "She's waiting for the supplies"

This was a nice find for seafood. Ordered the calamari (breading was good on it - kind of small size). The catfish basket (fried here are tasty, the catfish was almost non existent - more batter than filet. Batter is that I’d like a Popeyes crispy coating) ratio off. The dungeonous crab legs were good - but other crab legs a bit rubbery. The wing baskets were good. Hook and reel special flavor was good - a bit thick but liked it. I’d come to try the bar - the restaurant setup was nice.

General Manager was super friendly and personable. Made myself and my friend feel welcome. Ordered their seafood boils and opted for crabs legs, shrimp and mussels with their signature sauce in a mild variation. The food tasted fresh but I will say that their signature sauce mild didn't have the kick or flavor I was looking for and asked for spicy. The spicy was much better. The prices were very reasonable. I found out they have one in San Antonio, so I will check that one out. I will come back to this location next time.

Nice place to go after work! Happy Hour prices were great, staff was super friendly. I had a rum punch and mozzarella sticks, both were excellent. Will definitely be going for lunch or dinner sometime soon.

This restaurant was quite a pleasant surprise. We had never been here before and decided to try it out as it is right next to our gym. What an amazing flavor sensation! Our bartender, Gene, was wonderful and so accommodating. The choices of seafood were great, and you have so many options as far as spices and heat level. If you like seafood, you must try this place.

Great experience! Staff is much better then the last time I came . The new manager Regina is such a sweetheart. Her warm welcoming and hospitality is amazing ! This place can go places with her in charge . My server Destiny was also a sweetheart. Both of them deserve this great review ! Give them a raise lol . I hope they are still there next time me and my family return.

Tonight was our first visit here, very clean and family friendly environment. The food was delicious and wasn't a long wait. we will definitely return in the future.
