I got two antique spoons and a pint of South Mountain Creamery “C is for Cookie”

Ice cream, coffee, and a gift shop with nice home goods/decorations and more. Everything is very well curated and seems like pretty good quality. I knew my wife would like this place but was a little surprised how much I like it myself!

Even more, they coordinate some events like car shows and partner with some local food/drink vendors (Steezeburger, Two Story Chimney Ciderworks, etc.).

Very nice all-purpose general store that has really cool goods for sale, but also local ice cream, beef and dairy products. Prices are also reasonable. This place hosts many events on a recurring basis as well which makes it a fun place to keep going back to.

Every trip to Gaithersburg must include a visit to TFR in Laytonsville! Found a unique gift I have never seen in another shop and will be making a friend smile. TFR owner was so warm and welcoming! Her smile radiates her passion for creating a space filled with acceptance, creativity, laughter, and warmth…just like a family room. Can’t wait for my next visit!

The store is cute but the customer service is terrible. The owner is rude to us every single time we come in to buy ice cream. Took my sister and her kids for the first time and she noticed it too. The first few times I thought maybe the owner is just having an off day, but it’s happened every time. Maybe it’s because we’re not white. Whatever the reason, we won’t be back. I’m not interested in patronizing a store that gives me a side of stank eye with my ice cream.

Great gifts for all ages, good coffee, great locally-made ice cream. What more could you want?

Items are lovely but expensive. (Sympathy card $6.95) I most likely won't be going there again.
