As a long time regular at Fitzie's I have watched this gorgeous waterfront destination grow gracefully from a smallish restaurant and pub to a complex with a hopping Tiki bar, formal dining room, large, friendly pub and bar, gas dock, and children's play area. The first class food, service, and stunning view have been constant through the years, adding something new and special each season. The staff works hard to make you feel welcome and the proprietor and all of his family who work there make you feel like their personal guest. The only problem is that eventually you have to leave.Kid-friendliness: A couple of simple arcade type amusements inside, a huge sand pile with toys outside, and high chairs sends a clear message that the whole family is most welcome.
Wow. Can't say enough good things about my experience here. On a dreary January night I was really excited to see that Fitzies was opening up to do a seafood buffet. Stoped in with my family and the place was hopping. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was fun. The staff was excited to see everyone and made everyone's night enjoyable. You could tell they were people who really enjoyed their job and wanted everyone's night to be great. We were even treated to the owner, Dan stopping by and make sure we had everything we needed. He made a point to visit every table and was working shoulder to shoulder with the staff the whole time we were there. The seafood buffet was great. Crab balls, shrimp, fried oysters clams. They even had a carving station with top round and chicken. Something for everyone and we can't wait to stop back in the spring or if they open up again this winter!
I went to the all you can eat Buffett for $35.00 person the fried chicken and the beef was over cooked I couldn't eat it. The crab balls and oysters were good but not worth the money or the wait time in line. Needless to say I didn't go back for seconds because nothing good was

Delicious crab pizza and crab balls! Fresh squeezed orange crush. Great scenery. Only a 20min boat ride across the river from Va. friendly service and lovely white sands beach dining. I’ll be back to Fitzies.

Just returned from a wonderful Saturday evening at Fitzies Restaurant Marina. Great crab cakes and spectacular water views. The owner was on hand to greet you, the staff is friendly and the service quick. Great vibe , good value , enticing menu . Highly recommend.Parking: plenty of parking

Bad service and food not that great. They took 3 hours to serve our table and the meat was over cooked, the waitress couldn’t do her job right need lots of training for customer service. It was the worst experience ever.
The view is very good. Bar area in rear of bldg good, if interested in drinking alcoholic beverage. Upon arriving, The front entrance to restaurant very dirty, windows and door area full of cob webs. Waitress uninformed about items on menu. Ran back and forth for answers such as "fresh catch of day", are shrimp "gulf shrimp"? Many menu sides unavailable. Salad and dinners arrived same time, food not prepared as asked. Would we go back?? Probably NO

We go to Fitzie's pretty frequently, usually by boat. It is generally pretty easy to get a slip and when it's not super busy, employees have actually helped us tie up (which is super nice!). I really enjoy the outside seating by the water and there is definitely a family-friendly vibe depending on the day/time. Our last visit was about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday for dinner. We got a table in the bar section and our service was awesome considering how busy the place was. My only complaint was that we couldn't get an itemized receipt... and I usually wouldn't complain about something like that but we actually never received an item that we ordered (it got "lost" in the kitchen- yes it was that busy). The waitress was aware of this and we were all cool with it but I just wanted to triple check I wasn't charged for something I never received. Overall, I still like this place and I am sure we will be back soon!

The only nice thing I can say is the view is nice and the hush puppies are the only thing worth eating. This place needs a better chef! The jumbo lump crab cake is shredded crab, they don’t know how to season there seafood, I ordered the mixed seafood platter and ask if I could get my shrimp steamed, my crab cake broiled, and my fish blackened they told me it couldn’t be done and if anyone has had broiled shrimp it’s impossible to peel the shell making it inedible. Save your money and go to Morris Point Restaurant instead they customize my seafood and so much flavor!

There is no better place to eat when you’re here. Food was spectacular and the vibe was great! My girlfriend and I took a Lyft to this place and when there weren’t any available for our way back, I went to the bar to ask about taxi service, the owner asked where we were going to and when we said our rental place was just across the boy he offered to take us there no problem, super clutch, super nice, and incredibly accommodating! 12/12 recommend!
