I think if you are a regular here, they treat you a lot better. It was my first time and service was mediocre. Did not refill my water at all and hard to get a hold of server. Food was very small but very expensive for what it is.

Excellent hole-in-the-wall restaurant, has a classic diner feel and the portions are wonderful for the modest prices. I am almost never disappointed when I come in for a meal. Great place, great food, and great service!

I drove over an hour to try this gem out and it was well worth it. Personally, I had the breakfast quesadilla with a turkey sausage and the mushroom chicken tortellini soup, both were on their special of the day board. The flavors were amazing. I took my mother and my daughter who both said their food was delicious. I love the atmosphere and old-fashioned decor as well as the music, It’s such a nostalgic vibe. Our server, Milton was very friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable of the menu. Prices are more than reasonable. Everything including the bathroom were exceptionally clean. I see why every table was filled during our visit and to go orders were flying out the door. We even left with milkshakes and will be a frequent diner.

We will never go back to The Flashback in Lexington Park.

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants—a place where you felt welcomed and like part of a family. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, that experience has steadily disappeared.

We have been there three times since the ownership changed, and each visit has been progressively worse. During our most recent visit, the table we were seated at was not clean, with syrup still on it. The restaurant was not very busy, yet we waited 10 minutes and never even had the opportunity to place a drink order. That has never happened to us here in the past.

Previously, we never once walked out of this restaurant. The former owner would often come by to talk with customers, which made a real difference. That level of care and personal interaction is clearly missing now—at least in our experience.

What was once a place we truly enjoyed has been destroyed by the new ownership. Based on repeated experiences, we will not be returning, and we feel it’s important for others to be aware of how much this restaurant has changed.

I had a great experience at The Flashback Grill and Diner in Lexington Park, MD. The food was excellent — I ordered the cheesesteak sub, and it was really good, full of flavor and cooked just right. For dessert, I had the banana split, and it was the perfect way to top off the meal.

What really stood out was the service. The owner personally came out to check on me and the other guests, making sure we were okay and asking if we needed anything. That level of hospitality made the experience even better.

Overall, everything was very nice — great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend The Flashback Grill and Diner to anyone in the area or just passing through.

The corned beef was cut thick for the Reuben , and not shaved and it was tough. I could not eat the meat.

First time ever going yesterday and the food was really good. Owner was really nice and the chef was great. Had the French toast meal. Toast was tasty and warm. They give you lots of scrambled eggs. And I was given a banana pudding pie that tasted so good that my mom ate all of it lol. Will be back. People please check them out.
