The pancakes are the best ever in 42 years of living
Absolutely best pancakes I’ve ever had. The biscuits with the sausage gravy were phenomenal!!!!!! We will be coming back for sure!!! I cannot wait to try their waffles next time!!! 10/10 food, service, & atmosphere!!
This is defiantly a community place. The staff is very friendly, and they are on top of it! Our waitress was very busy but she still gave great attention to our table. They have a regular crowd for a reason.
The food is good diner food. There is not 200 options, they have a small menu but everything on it is delicious.

A Hidden Gem in Lexington Park – Flashback is a Must-Visit!
Flashback Diner in Lexington Park, MD is truly a hidden gem that deserves to be on everyone’s radar! From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to a fun and nostalgic 1950s-style diner with vibrant decor, great music, and an incredibly welcoming atmosphere.
What really stood out to me was the exceptional customer service. I have some food allergies, and the owner personally went out of her way to make me a custom turkey omelet—fresh, delicious, and allergy-safe! That kind of attention to detail and care is rare and absolutely appreciated.
Whether you’re grabbing a hearty breakfast, a casual lunch with friends, or just looking for a fun retro diner experience, Flashback delivers. The staff is friendly, the food is amazing, and the vibe is unbeatable.
If you’re in St. Mary’s County or visiting Southern Maryland, do yourself a favor and check out Flashback. Support this locally-owned small business—you won’t regret it!

I’ll definitely be back. Flashback is now one of my go-to restaurants in Lexington Park!
We had takeout once, very good, but you can't read the menu on line nor see specials. It would also be nice if it were open s little past 2. We would use at least once or twice a week.
Food is what you would expect from a cheaper diner type business. My burger was a very thin patty overcooked and served on a blackened bun. It was edible but close to not being acceptable. My wife's fish sandwhich was two Gordon's style fish patties also on a blackened bun served with no sauce, mayo, nothing. They brought her tarter on request and it too was edible but not great. Fries were cheap store bought so just ok. My son's roast beef sandwhich was store bought Deli slices so once again just ok. My mom had tge reuben and said it was pretty good so one of us was fairly happy. If your looking for a quick meal on the cheaper side and don't expect better then the most basic of prepared foods then this is your place. Nothing we got would make me want to go back but nothing we got was completely horrible so I'm trying to be fair and explain the mediocrity to others ahead of time.
Great food and service!
I just didn't like how the eggs over easy was made with nonstick cooking Pam. You are supposed to use butter with eggs. They tasted funny. The the French toast is amazing.
Not my first time eating there. Wife and I ate lunch there today, as usual the food was great. The best club sandwich in Lexington Park and the local area. Highly recommended! Larry Young
My husband and I visited The Flashback for the first time recently and we were very impressed. It's really cute inside and we liked the decor but most importantly it was extremely clean, including the bathroom. Our server, Bethany, was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was hot upon arrival. While everything was great, we were most pleased with the steak and cheese and the bacon cheeseburger. Both had lots of flavor and were cooked well. We were able to chat with the owner for a while, who was lovely, and we could really tell how much pride she takes in running this business. We look forward to coming back, next time for breakfast, despite the fact that it's a little further than we typically travel when we go out to eat. Worth the drive for a hidden gem like this!

Greeted the second we walked in the door and seated promptly, loved the 50’s diner look and red booths! The atmosphere here is very warming and you feel very welcomed by the family who owns and operates the joint. They are very personable and make you feel right at home. The food here is the best in town!! I haven’t had a better meal anywhere in town. Big portions and willing to accommodate. My bf and I both got the banana split and don’t care for chocolate ice cream so the server asked us if we’d like to switch that flavor we chose salted caramel. Very inexpensive and affordable! The kids fell in love with this place and loved all the decorations for Halloween as well as the food and frosted mugs of root beer. Would highly recommend checking this place out. The Reuben was the best I ever had!! & my bf loved the tuna melt!! Desserts were amazing too as my youngest couldn’t wait to try the pb frosted chocolate cake and oldest the vanilla sundae. Loved hearing the stories from the family how this place came about and how they brought their upstate NY inspired cooking to their diner! ?
