The food had a horrific smell and taste.
The waiter took the cold food back several times and still brought it back cold. The best part was when the manager apologized for the service. I will never return to this restaurant, or recommend it.

Yesterday, as part of my birthday celebration, I returned to G&M Restaurant, a place I had not visited in quite some time.
While the atmosphere was pleasant (4/5) and the service was good (4.5/5), unfortunately the food quality was disappointing (3/5). Several dishes arrived warm rather than hot. I returned one vegetable dish and received a replacement that was also cold and inedible. I also ordered the crab cakes ($56), which were served cold and lacked flavor.
I am not sure if the restaurant is under new management, but the kitchen and food service standards did not meet expectations. Food should be served at proper temperatures for both safety and quality, and this experience fell short of that standard.

Excellent service and food, specializing in seafood. G&M's is famous for their crab cake platter and crab cakes in general. Your mobile phone number is taken at check-in and they will text you when your table is ready for seating. The restaurant is a favorite in the area. It has been in operation as a seafood restaurant since 1993.

Might be the best crab cake in Maryland!! Super meaty, full of whole pieces of lump crab meat, and seasoned well. To be honest, we’ve had some lack luster experiences with some other dishes (calamari and pasta were overcooked and bland). But the crab cake negates any of those experiences. We have to get one at least once a month it’s so good. For dessert, they also have amazing cheesecake!

They say they are known for their crab cakes and they weren't lying. They are excellent with very little filler. And you can add them on to any other dish so you get the best of both worlds! The clam chowder soup was also a hit.

This is my partner’s favorite place for crab cakes because the pieces are very large, full of lump crabmeat, and very little filler. We were on our way back from a family trip and took a detour to have lunch here. My partner had the Crab Cake Platter which comes with two large crab cakes made with the finest jumbo lump crab meat, tastefully seasoned & broiled. I had the Chesapeake Club Sandwich (4 oz. jumbo lump crab cake, shrimp salad, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and lemon aioli on farmer's white bread). The food was just as delicious as the last time we ate there several years ago.

Was very disappointed in my meal, went with 7 other people after a funeral, got a crab cake sandwich did not come with chips or pickles . I had to leave half of my ice tea, did not even have a cup to go.

Amazing!! Loved everything about this place. Had the Karen crab cakes, so delicious. I've been coming here daily to get a glimpse of Karen, and had a crab while I was waiting. She never showed.

When I was in 1st grade this place was a hole in the wall sub shop we ate at frequently, because they had the best crab cake subs ever. Today, 56 years later I've come 1800 miles for a family event and the cab cakes are still ROCKING MY WORLD!! THANK YOU G&M!
(special note, in between visits here I've had they overnight me those same crab cakes!)
