To me, this is what a BBQ joint is supposed to feel like. Its away from the town, built in an old strip mall, no frills inside or out, just good fresh flavors. This team does carolina style pork and fixin's that just hit differently than the sugary sweet stuff that dominates in the chain restaurants. My usual is the pulled pork, the greens, and the beans. The staff is super warm and friendly.

My family arrived at 2:30 on Labor Day after driving from Accokeek to try the wedges. Of course they were sold out because they were closing at 3pm. I told the owner how far we traveled and she made us some wedges. New customer. Not only were the wedges delicious the customer service was out of this world!

We had Porky’s BBQ cater our dinner this evening, and the ribs, pulled pork and brisket were all delicious, so flavorful! They were very helpful ordering and everything was ready as promised! I would definitely recommend eating there anytime, and when we cater again, we’ll definitely be back!

Our first time here. All of the food is VERY FRESH, tasty, and fulfilling. All meat pieces are full bodied, well battered, and yummy! We did have to wait a little bit because they were out of wings,but surely worth it! Also, I'm not a fan of the work ethnic when it comes to the new generation of young adults, BUT this bunch was very well mannered and gave out phenomenal customer service. Wanted to find something different and see what BBQ spots were in the area. I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The fried chicken was really good, ribs were tasty and the potatoe wedges were a hit! Will definitely swing by again!

Stopped for a quick bite during a road trip and was skeptical at first but everything was phenomenal! Our group ordered an assortment of items from the menu and it was all so good we stopped again on the return trip. The staff were also very helpful and the prices are reasonable. Will be coming back here again and again.

Came here for the first time based on the reviews....and I'm so glad I did. It feels so good to ditch fast food and instead eat homemade fried chicken!!! The staff was warm, friendly and passionate about their food. This will definitely be my potluck stop for fried chicken. And, the sauce on those ribs was hickory, savory and sweet😋

First time trying this place today as we live locally and a huge BBQ fan. Starting off, we ordered online, process was quick and simple. Walked in 10 minutes later around lunch time and was greeted by a very nice young lady at the cash register. Great eye contact, smile and very polite. Another lady behind the counter making the food, both were quite busy, but one thing that stood out was there team work calling things out to one another, and helping one another complete the orders and it wasn't just on one person. Impressed by the communication and ability to work great together as a team under a busy hour. Now to the food..... The prices are average to the usual prices for BBQ food in the surrounding area, so they do keep there prices competitive with local businesses which is good. We got 2 of the 7oz Pulled Pork Sandwiches, both with the NC BBQ sauce, the meat was extremely flavorful and moist and pretty much fell apart in your mouth. The NC BBQ sauce was delicious, with a bit of heat and a nice hit of vinegar and spices, which really mixed well with the pork. The bun was soft and warm and fresh. We also got the Green Beans, which had a hint of heat but not much, some excellent flavors mixed in and also had a few small slices of potatoes in there. The potatoes were done perfectly, not mushy or overdone to cause them to fall apart, and well infused in the juices so it was a burst of flavor in your mouth when biting into it. We also got the Baked Beans which are a must for a BBQ. The Baked beans were delicious, mixed in a very savory sauce that was bursting with a good amount of flavor, with little sliced onions mixed into it. The coleslaw came with both of the Pulled Pork Sandwiches and it was a bit different then the usual we have around here, however it was very creamy and flavorful of which was well enjoyed. All in all this place was excellent, from the ordering process online, to the friendly and hard working staff that I encountered when entering the facility with fresh smiles on the faces, to the outstanding food that was bursting with flavors. Me and my wife highly recommend this place if you enjoy good BBQ food that makes your mouth water. We plan on coming back and trying more varieties of the food to continue updating this review. Well done and thank you for a great tasteful lunch!
