To me, this is what a BBQ joint is supposed to feel like. Its away from the town, built in an old strip mall, no frills inside or out, just good fresh flavors. This team does carolina style pork and fixin's that just hit differently than the sugary sweet stuff that dominates in the chain restaurants. My usual is the pulled pork, the greens, and the beans. The staff is super warm and friendly.
My family arrived at 2:30 on Labor Day after driving from Accokeek to try the wedges. Of course they were sold out because they were closing at 3pm. I told the owner how far we traveled and she made us some wedges. New customer. Not only were the wedges delicious the customer service was out of this world!
walked in from an long saturday morning and was greeted by tristan. this is the one, put me on to how porkey’s can be enjoyed. helped me create then craft the order to my liking and all while offering me courteous service at each step. tristan was right, i am a customer for life now. well done👏🏿👏🏿
