Great oysters and the onion soup is fantastic, (almost) as good as my moms and that is about as high praise imho as you can get 😉😇 - with thanks for the welcoming/heartwarming bar tending to boot 🙏

I don’t know why this didn’t post before but I’ll say it again. We (myself and two ladies) went and enjoyed drinks and they had a delicious lunch whereas I had hard crabs. When we first arrived crabs were not available and I was disappointed. I believe the server must have communicated that to the chef and when the crabs arrived he immediately cooked them for me. They were amazing as was all the food and drinks. I love this location for food, drinks and the amazing views.

Could not ask for a better atmosphere, nice breeze and shade from the umbrellas, the only place around that I know of with local blue crab and outside seating! Perfect spot to enjoy a drink and eat crabs.

Bonus - full menu with many great options for anyone not ordering crabs.

Went for brunch today at $26 per person. Was not impressed. French toast and pasteries were good but eggs cold, sausage was overspiced, corned beef hash was basically the canned, will not return for brunch but am hopeful from reviews that the dinner option has potential..

I was looking fwd to dinner here. We sat outside for 40 minutes in the hot on the 4th of July and not one server took our order. The Caucasian couple got appetizers and a meal, I then witnessed a party of 3 Caucasian come in and was served immediately. We addressed our concern to the mgr...Worst service ever

My daughters took me to dinner and we thought we would try something new. What a disappointment. Our food was awful. My crab cake was undercooked, my steak was pitifully small and overcooked. My daughters got soft crab sandwiches and they tasted so bad they only ate a couple bites. If you care about good food instead of a water view spend your money somewhere else. I don’t expect them to be in business very long

The new Sunset Creek — which used to be Vera’s — had delicious food and amazing water views. We enjoyed the crab dip, Cobb salad, burger and a tasty toffee cake dessert.
Tonisha was our server and was super attentive and knowledgeable. Hope to be back soon!

We are local and have been many times over the years and it’s always great. Most importantly, I had the most STUNNING wedding here on 6/3/23. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Don, the owner, was incredible to work with and made everything a breeze. Multiple photos because there’s not a bad view here!!

My husband and I made the trip down to Subset Creek at Vera's after driving by the sign a handful of times. We decided to give it a chance despite mixed reviews. Our overall assessment is that this place has so much potential. We opted to sit outside because it was a nice day, however the tables on the patio were roasting. We heard 3 or 4 other tables opt to move inside after being seated because it was too hot. While a restaurant can't control the weather, having umbrellas outside would've gone a long way. We would've stayed much longer if not for the heat. Food was decent, but overpriced. I had a chopped salad for $22 that had maybe 2 slices of lunch meant on it. We were charged $5 for a ginger ale. I have a food allergy (wheat) and my only real option was salad - staff and kitchen did not seem well versed in allergies. All in all, glad we tried it to check it off the list but won't be going back any time soon. Such a shame because a few minor modifications to menu and outdoor set up and I could see us (and others) spending much more time and money here.
