The Holy Hell Kitchen

Since I’ve lived here in Calvert County this place had food that had THE best flavor combo I’ve had. I had my entree and sampled my husband’s too. All were excellent. The question cards were clever for conversation starters too.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere and service was equally as amazing. Truly enjoyed our time and experience. Will be back for sure!!!!

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! The food, the service, EVERYTHING was incredible! My husband planned a mini getaway for the two of us. We had dinner at The Holy Hell Kitchen, and we LOVED everything from the time we stepped through the door. They made us feel welcome. The food was so delicious. We started out with the biscuits, and OMG, they melted in your mouth so so good. I had the shrimp and grits, and my husband had the pork chop. We usually don't share food, but it was so good we wanted each other to try the dish!Do yourself a favor and have dinner at The Holy Hell Kitchen!We will be back very soon. This time we're bringing more people with us

First time and great find in Southern MD Service was perfect and food was delicious. Look forward to going back and try more option on their menu.

We're not from the area but decided to check out the place on a whim. Fantastic homestyle but elevated food. Proud to support a family run black owned business.Delicious food and they had lovely little conversation starter boxes at each table that would make for a perfect icebreaker on a date. Highly recommend this place!

This place is awesome. The atmosphere is great, the food is fantastic and the customer service was awesome. I highly recommend this place. I got home and my daughter Maya said this is the best chicken. Again. Thank you and we will back. I can't wait to try the ribs.

I'm writing this review while I'm still seated at the restaurant! HOLY ****! The food is absolutely exquisite and amazing. Almost unreal that this level of cooking talent exists in this area!The experience is great and the atmosphere is trendy, yet relaxed. This has been the best food experience I've had in Southern Maryland!Cardie (our server) was very outgoing and was on top of everything!We will definitely be back! Our new favorite spot.

Holy Hell!!! What an incredible place, it's small, and I love it. The food was amazing. We started with the buttermilk biscuits (which I don't even like biscuits) and they just melted in your mouth. We also had the nachos and they were great. Now on to the main dish, I had the pork chop with a side of roasted potatoes and Mac and Cheese. The pork chop was so tender it could be cut the a fork and the flavor was exquisite. Every bite of the roasted potatoes and Mac and Cheese was packed full of flavor. The staff was so friendly, the owners came out and talked to us. 5 stars is not enough.

BLUF: Outstanding brunch! Exemplary service!The biscuits were flaky outside with a fantastic slightly doughy center. I don’t know if it was in the preserves or the biscuit, but there was a bit of a cinnamon taste that I loved. The wrapped butter pads were placed on the handle of the skillet to warm them and make it easier to spread. Very clever!Coffee was a bourbon barrel aged, locally sourced solution that stood well on its own without any added cream or sugar.I don’t usually go out for chicken and waffles, but here it’s a must. The chicken itself can be ordered spicy or mild, but the heat is the way to go. Waffle was thin and moist, but light. Both were well complimented by a spicy-sweet syrup I couldn’t get enough of. Had the Macaroni and cheese as a side, which was rich and delicious. Just the right amount too.The wait staff was attentive and clearly loved to be a part of the restaurant. Very pleasant to talk to and hearing about some of the behind the scenes work (procurement, preparation) was very impressive.The amount of effort and care with which you acquire your ingredients and have established your restaurant speaks volumes to your passion for good food, and it was truly a pleasure to dine with you. I’ll certainly be back for the dinner experience. Thank you!

The food was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly! The Fried Green tomatoes, Mac and cheese, and pound cake were all absolutely perfect. Definitely coming back.

Their food is delicious. I'm so impressed with their Collard greens and Mac n cheese. The Mac has some heat to it. The way I prepare mine. It's a refreshing welcome. Especially since there isn't many options if you're here visiting.
