On Wednesday Sept 10th at around 3:45pm I stopped at Edo Sushi for dinner. I've lived in Pennsylvania since 2011, but I was born and raised in Baltimore County. I started working in Timonium 1year after Edo Sushi opened in 1998. I would pick up take out from Edo 6-8 times a month for many years. Many of my coworkers also ate there. I have many found memories of dinners shared, birthdays celebrated holiday celebrations. Wedaednesday was a very nostalgic day and I thought what better place to have dinner. My server waited on me almost immediately. I'm currently on a special prescribed diet, so my options are limited. My sever was able to answer my ingredients questions quickly. I ordered Una Don, which is my favorite and I have Eel at least twice a month. I also ordered a double spicey crabmeat maki and a crabstick and cucumber salad. My food arrived fast there was only one other table seated and people picking up carryout. I tried the eel first and the 1st piece was pretty fatty. Now I like some fat on my eel, but this was not pleasant. I tried a second piece, and it was inedible, and I couldn't try a third, plus I could see it all looked the same. I ate some of the rice and my other food arrived. The first bite of crab roll was a little salty and the next 2 pieces were saltier. I thought well the salad should be fine. The test was fine, but the cucumber part of the salad was more cucumber skin then actual flesh. I called my server over and told her about the eel and the other roll, I didn't mention the salad. I was very disappointed. She asked if I wanted a box for the salad and crab roll, since I told her the eel wasn't edible. She came back with the box and the bill. I didn't expect not to be charged something, but when it was the full price, I realized customer service no longer exists. No offer to remake any of it, no credit for the inedible food and zero discount. It left me speechless, $66 for a meal that went into the trash. I threw the leftovers in the trash outside the front door and wanted to right a review immediately but stopped myself, so I could gather usually only write positive reviews. I understand everyplace can have a bad day. It's not even attempting to make it right that I take issue with. I just never expected Edo to lose sight of their customers and why they've been successful over the years.

Had sushi dinner at this place today because Yamato Sushi is closed on Sundays now.
The owner behind the counter at Edo is obviously quite discriminatory.
Welcomes you and greets you and then says a pleasant good bye if you are white. Otherwise he doesn't even bother to even give you a second glance.
On top of that the food was sub par.
No comparison with the food you get at Yamato sushi.
Not going to Edo again. Lot more other places to spend my money where people are lot more courteous and welcoming across the board. And where food is better too.

The only thing good was the young lady who served us. Pleasant.

Best sushi place in the Towson/Baltimore area. If you give this place less than a 5 you need Jesus. Their maki specials are amazing. Highly recommend the mango tango and the captain maki.
