The service has improved, the food is very good especially the meatballs and chicken but the atmospheres got worse. The atmosphere wasn't good the last time I was here years ago but now there rips the the seats and the dining room looks like something out of a horror movie. I am still giving them a 4 out 5 because I will have to consider going out of my way to do carry out even if they are 15 minutes away from my home.
My daughter and I happened to be in the area so we stopped by for lunch, unplanned. We were highly impressed with the quality of food, the generous portions of food, and the warm-hearted customer service from our server, Sophia. She was friendly, professional, and made us feel welcome. Il Basilico Trattoria is absolutely, positively in the top-tier of Italian restaurants in Central Maryland. 5 stars all the way!!!
