The Barns at New Market has been a huge disappointment. All of 2024 they have not had any decent produce that looked consumable even during the peak summer months and the garbage they were selling was priced equivalent to grocery store pricing. In 2025, if they can't sell decent produce at decent prices they may as well leave the doors locked.

The barns at Newmarket have the freshest St. Mary's county fruits and vegetables. in addition, the Saturday market has many things for your weekday menus. to jewelry, wine, a few crafts and just about anything else you can think about. it's a great place to have breakfast and lunch and enjoy talking with local producers
