After the great reviews I read I made first purchase. Fried platter, fish had dead fly on top, oysters fried so long they were hard, clams were laden in grease, soft shell crab was paper thin and no meat. I was so disappointed. The staff were incredibly nice and service was great, but the food was horrible so sorry to say.
We stop at Thompsons on our way to our house down in the 7th district every weekend we come! They are so friendly, have the best seafood and great prices! Their crabs, crabmeat, oysters, shrimp, fish, and prepared dishes are the best! Love to support such a wonderful family that is such a big part of this great community!

They have nice size crabs 🦀 that are very good. Seafood salad and cream of crab soup have real crab meat. Very good and customer service is on point.
Love their crabs and hush puppies. The fried chicken is delicious. Well all of their menu is great!

My teenage daughter went in with my aunt as we we're visiting from NY. Brother and sister owned, sister wanted to talk politics and who we should be voting for. My daughter came back to the car and expressed her first ever racist experience. Family refused to let me go back in and confront the women who owned the place. If you are a person of color please don't visit this location. Good wasn't even good either.
We've been going to Thompson's for over 20yrs and NEVER had a bad meal! Their shrimp are perfectly cooked, love their fried perch and flounder. Always get enough for a followup meal the next day. Love their Staff!!
