By The Docks Seafood Restaurant

I've been a patron here for some years but it seems that the restaurant has slowly slipped. Last night my lobster bisque soup arrived luke warm. My entree of crab cake and baked potato was disappointing as well. The potato was barely warm and the crab cake was flavorless. My boyfriend on the other hand did enjoy his md crab soup (which did come out hot) and shrimp scampi. I can't say that I'll be returning because there's so many great spots out here where my money can be better spent.

Good food, I was pleasantly surprised. Large portions and very tasty. Brandon our server was excellent. Will definitely return.

The food was delicious and our waitress was phenomenal! However, the hostess had an attitude because she had mixed up my reservation with someone else's. When I complained about it, she never apologized and threw our menus on the table, then walked away! Very rude!

My grandson and I had dinner August 11th at By the Docks. It was lobster night so of course I had to have the stuffed lobster . Omgosh it was absolutely delicious! I've always been thrilled with my food from by the docks and I can continue to say the same! Highly recommend!

The greeter at the door wasn't very welcoming but maybe he was just having a bad day. This was our first time dining at Docks. The food was very good and the crab cake was certainly as advertised!!! We have lived in Maryland for only five years and this was the best I've had in Maryland or anywhere else.

Our first time dining at this restaurant and we loved it. The food was great the service was exceptional and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend going here for dinner.

Great steak deal on Thursday night for only 25.99 - any steak cooked to your liking with two sides. Service and food were very good! Like the "new"look of By the Docks!

I took my daughter for her 33rd birthday and it was amazing. The server was polite and attentive, the service was extremely fast, and the food was delicious. I will definitely be going again.

We were on our way home from vacation and decided to stop in middle river to break up the drive and get dinner . We are familiar with the area bc we have been looking for a bay house there . We were wanting to go to one of our waterfront favorites however they had long waits and we had already been in the car for 7 hours . I looked on OpenTable and discovered By the Docks . I was able to get a last minute reservation so we decided to give it a try . The outside doesn't do it any justice it's very pretty and nautical inside . We were seated right away and our waitress Maddie was great . The drinks were delicious and husband got an old fashioned that came in a treasure chest which was very cool . It happened to be restaurant week as well which is was a nice surprise . Everything was delicious and a great value. I was very impreassed by the quality and value . The menu is huge , there is something for everyone . We will be back !

Had dined here in the past so was fairly certain that the food and service would be excellent. Was unprepared for the renovation which is absolutely beautiful by the way! We will definitely be back and soon. Thanks for a great night out.

We both had the 4-course menu. We both started with soup. I had the cream of crap (extra $1). It was good but the base was thicker than I usually like. He liked the cream of crab. I wish there were different options for the second course. Only falafel and ceviche. We got one of each. We tasted them and I ate the shrimp out of the ceviche. I would pass on them both. The crab cake was the star. Definitely a contender for the best in Maryland. The sides were okay. I also wish there were more dessert options. We got one of each. The tiramisu was the favorite. The cannoli was too sweet. I only took a bite. I really would have preferred cake. I had the cotton candy cocktail. I liked it. Service was really good. It was an enjoyable experience. We drove a long way to get there from the DC side of Maryland. I would come back if I was in Baltimore.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Our server was Kimberly and she was fantastic! We started with crab dip and Asian Brussels sprouts. The crab dip was creamy and cheesy with a lot of jumbo lump crab meat. The Brussels sprouts were decadent and very tasty. For our entrees we ordered the stuffed shrimp and jewels of the sea. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. The lobster melted in my mouth. The shrimp were a nice size and the crab cakes were also jumbo lump. For dessert we ordered the creme brûlée and chocolate cake. They were delicious as well.

Absolutely lovely. Laid back, but clean. The service from Brandon was perfect. The food was delicious and generous portions.

Oh my lord I haven’t been to the restaurant in a while but lord their food went down. I’m too harsh it’s was the crab cake, it had more cake than crab in it. The shrimp were delicious. Even the crab dip went down, it was soupy.

The drinks and service was alright, reasonable price and good people who work there…. I meet the owner cool guy
