The crabs were pulled out of the steamer too soon. The meat is not at all firm, it's soggy. Complete disappointment
Snow crab legs were fantastic.

Captain Jim called me yesterday to offer me another dozen crabs to make up for the steaming issues. I stopped in today a picked up the crabs on the way home from work.
They were 1000% better. Steamed and seasoned perfectly.
Much better expierence this time. We will be seeing you again soon Captain Jim.

Great crabs

Sold a dozen of female l/xl crabs with an ammonia smell, was told to bring them back just to have a manager rudely deny to properly inspect them and instantly refuse me a refund or credit. I killed him with kindness and he gave in. Then me being positive I placed an order (spending more money) for jumbo male crabs which half of those were bad. Quoted one price bank statement shows an added $15+ per transaction. Sad part is the first time I ordered over the phone 🤔 got awesome crabs this time I went in person. I wonder why the difference 🤷🏽‍♀️.

I’m not from Maryland, but coming here to visit all my life and coming here eating crabs, Captains Jim’s are the best to me, and places like Conrad’s and skipjacks, are good places but over hyped because of their names. But I’ll stick with Captains never ever disappointed, and if they have a bad day, which is normal I’m still going there. Actually going to get my 1/2 dozen today .

Mya is awesome and the crabs are amazing and priced reasonably. Heavy too.

I have been going there every week and I have not been let down yet!!!!! This place should be on everyone's list to try. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!! 😋😋😋😋♥️♥️♥️♥️

Heavy crabs

This is our go to place! We got the 1/2 bushel of large and xtra large special. Best crabs of the year. All were packed and delicious.

I buy crabs from Jim's crab house often. I have always been very pleased and preferentially buy crabs from there due to previous quality. To my surprise, I got a bad batch of crabs. I ordered large crabs for 6/19 and picked them up at 7 pm. I was told there was a special and I would be getting another dozen free. So when they were bad, I was very surprised. I called the next day and spoke to a young lady and told her I would not be able to get the crabs back to her until 6/21 but I would leave them in my refrigerator. I went to Jims on the afternoon of 6/21 to return the crabs. The young girl behind the counter, who I recognized from before, was defensive and got the crab steamer person from the back to speak to me. The young man was immediately also defensive, opened the bag pulled out a crab and said they were "fine". I told him they were not fine and smelled fishy with dry mustard. He told me that they catch crabs with fish and so they smell fishy ! I told him to try a crab if he thought they were ok but he told me he doesn't eat crabs !!! He kept insisting the crabs were fine. I then said "so you are calling me a liar?" He did not respond and I was so upset I just left. All I wanted was my money back and maybe a small apology. Instead, I was met with disrespect and major attitude. I will NEVER buy crabs from them again and warning to all of you. Jamie

First time getting crabs and shrimp. They were better then i have had in a long time. I definitely will be coming back.

Omg the crabs were so good! The service was exceptional and we were in and out in less than 20 minutes! I will be back!
