The food isn't great, and certainly is not good enough to justify how they treat their employees.
I came in for a Reuben this evening and left fully satisfied despite staffing issues. Honorable mention to Lily, the girl behind the counter. The staffing issue was obviously not her fault but she was catching attitude from about 5 customers at once and handled it with the poise and professionalism of somebody well beyond her years.
The customer service was on point. And the Reuben I got was delicious
I placed an order via the mobile delivery app and they couldn’t complete the order at the time. I then waited about an hour or so and replaced the order and again after 15 minutes they couldn’t complete the order. Now on the 3rd attempt I finally decided to choose the pick up option and after waiting and getting the confirmation from the service that the food was ready I showed up at the store to find out that it wasn’t even started! I decided to cancel the order and had to wait 30 minutes to then explain to the delivery service why I am not accepting the charges. This place is under staffed and have a hard time fulfilling menu items because of inventory. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but this is atleast the 3rd time they were unable to fulfill this order. I will never order from here again. It’s a shame because when they actually follow through with their ordering and delivery they have excellent food.
Deli ish is located in a good area to an otherwise deserted food area. Unfortunately the food is mediocre at best. Some days it's on point but most times it's a disappointment. The food is not worth the price. Today I had 4.00 fries and turkey club. The bread is hard the Lettuce is old. The only salad worth ordering is the meat lovers. The Cesar salad is just thrown together, you can get a better salad from royal farm's and McDonald's both are right around the corner.
Our first visit and the worst Reuben sandwich we ever had! 90% gristle made this totally inedible.
Food is decent, but not worth the price.I've tried the Ebenezer (spicy chicken wrap) and the basic turkey sandwich on a sub roll, and the Reuben. The Ebenezer was too salty to finish. I don't recommend it.The turkey sub was decent, but the toppings (LTOP) were sparse- two slices of tomato, a very slight handful of lettuce, three slices of pickles. I would get this again if there were more toppings provided. The Reuben was very tasty, but I haven't had it since last year, and it was worth the price then considering pickle and chips were included. Each sandwich was roughly $11 after taxes. Not really worth the price in my opinion. I think there was more value in the sandwiches prior to this summer.I wonder if eliminating some of the menu items would allow more manageable supply costs. Either way though, it's not my business so as a consumer I don't think I'll be back until the value for the price returns to where it was. I get that inflation is hitting right now but it's hitting me as well, and I would prefer eating at a deli where my buck goes a little further.
Two weeks ago I ordered the grilled reuben. It arrived and had never even been grilled. The cheese was cold, the sauerkraut was cold and The corned beef was cold. The outside of the bread was hard and never grilled. There also was no thousand island and I had indicated to please put an extra thousand Island on the side. Today was kind of the last straw. What was once such an amazing place when I used to go their Dundalk location is now an incompetent establishment in Carroll Island. I ordered the turkey club. I was asked if I wanted mayo and I said yes. I asked to pay for extra bacon. I also asked what sweets they had and he said chocolate cake amongst others and I ordered the chocolate cake. I was delivered three old pieces of bread and a low quality turkey as my club. When I gathered up the four small thin microwavable pieces of bacon, it actually equalled out to two pieces of bacon. There was no mayo on the sandwich, one slice of tomato cut in half and old lettuce. And as far as the chocolate cake went? They had shoved two brownies into one container. And the one brownie had weird white stains on the bottom. When I checked further this was flour so they had never even fully mixed the batter when they prepared the brownies. Did they think this was chocolate cake? I called and spoke to people that said they were managers but we're actually children who huffed and puffed into the phone. I did not want a credit or another sandwich made. I wanted to make my concerns heard to someone vested in the company. I ended up calling the Dundalk location just in hopes that the owner will call. I really used to plug this place but they've got a real problem with any kind of consistency or sandwich-making. And I would like to mention that I do remember that chips and a pickle used to come with the sandwich? Didn't see that this time either. However it's become quite APPARENT WHERE THE REAL PROBLEM IS. I NOTICED WHERE I AM ASSUMING THE OWNER RESPONDED BACK TO OTHER PEOPLE'S COMMENTS AND IS KIND OF A J**** SO OBVIOUSLY I PROBABLY WON'T GET A PHONE CALL BACK. Where I once used to plug this place on social media, I guess within the year I will be plugging where they can pick up restaurant equipment when it closes it's doors
The brisket is delicious but they never get the sandwiches right. Ask for lettuce, tomato, onions and yellow mustard and you get lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayonnaise and NO onions. Second sandwich you ask for lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise and you get lettuce, tomato and one grape tomato cut in half. Less talking behind the counter might help get the sandwiches made correctly. This is not the first time this has happened.
Everytime we order from here the food is always fresh and delish! They have some of the best sandwiches ever. Onion rings, mozz sticks, are AWESOME.. every sandwich we have had so far has been AWESOME.

Stopped giving pickles awhile back with orders. Now no chips. If chips are going to cripple you business, make better choices.
Staff didn’t know how to key in our food selections. I ordered HOT pastrami. The meat was barely warm on the outside of the sandwich HOT pastrami is HOT. HEATED ON THE GRILL and feels hot to the touch and tongue. No, I didn’t say anything because I figured she couldn’t key the order so they couldn’t prepare it right. Thank goodness the meat itself was excellent. I can’t say Tge sataff was friendly by any stretch of the imagination. And Tge radio was blasting that you couldn’t think to yourself let alone talk with the other person at your table. Oh, half the tables were closed down.
Food was good. Got our order quick. The guy taking the orders at the register was not very well trained, or knowledgeable
So far from what I have had at this deli the Reuben has always been good no complaints tried the Turkey club and its kinda a disappointment just the opposite of the Reuben the club lacked meat and the Turkey seemed to be just cheap deli Turkey like what you get a supermarket..I can't speak for anything else on the Menu But I definitely will not be ordering a turkey club again..Another turn off was the fact that they did wear gloves but they were grabbing the phone and everything else and then going back to touch the food And not changing them kind of a turn off
Delish started out great but has gone down hill. I posted my thoughts the owner / manager responded quickly and are addressing my concerns. I look forward to eating there many more times as quality gets bet to where it was when opened. Support local business the are our community.
