Mama Rosa's new addition is conveniently located right on Pulaski Highway. The combination grill and grocery meets immediate and later needs for Filipino foods. I was able to get pork buns, shrimp dumplings and red bean ice cream to take home for dinner. The special purple sweet potato, ube, came in several forms ranging from candy to pancake mix, which I a.looking forward to making for breakfast along with some Longanisa sausage. The shelves are packed with staples, sauces, and preserves. Mango, lemon, and other fruit drinks filled the fridge. I will be making regular stops in the future on my way home from town.

I was here a few months ago. I got everything and some of my purchases were expired and one had a hole in it. One was very expensive but not that expensive. It was just very annoying.

Made a quick stop here after getting food at the Mama Rosa's just around the corner. We wanted to see what groceries were available and they did have many of the standard things you would need for food prep. The place was laid out well and everything was easy to find.

I stopped in today excited to try some Filipino burritos for the first time, but they are no longer functioning as a restaurant (one of the people working there said they might serve food again in the summer?) and are only operating as a small grocery store, I guess. I bought a frozen item and a pack of cookies. Once I opened the cookie package, I saw the expiration date was a week ago, which means they've probably been sitting around for quite a while. I don't think I'll be going back and will stick to the other Mama Rosa's down the road.

Come by and get your filipino groceries! They have anything you'd need for any filipino dish or to fulfill your snack craving. Stopped by here this past weekend in hopes of securing a sisig burrito, but they're no longer serving them! After I got over my initial disappointment, the cashier let me know that the burritos weren't popular enough to sustain, so they nixed the concept at this location. They're currently thinking up something new to serve instead and hope to serve food again soon. Wishing them the best and can't wait to see what they come up with next. In the meantime, you can still stop by their other location a few mins away, Mama Rosa's Grill!

Get the strawberry milk tea!! Had it for the first time yesterday and now I don't think I can drive past this location without stopping for this magnificent beverage. This location now houses most of the grocery items that used to be available at the place around the corner, on Middle River Road. Stoked to find spicy banana ketchup, and a bunch of items that i used to buy at Golden Bridge (RIP). If you like burritos, check out this place. However, we were looking for crispy pork belly and lumpia, so we took our drinks and went to their original location. Still a superfun experience, and I kind of want to go back for the bright red duck eggs in the refrigerator section. They're so eye-catchingly beautiful I must have them in my life sooner or later.

Sisig burrito is great! Spiced up for my taste just right.

TLDR: Tasty Filipino fast casual burritos and milk tea out of a Filipino Mini Mart. Sisig burrito is definitely worth a try!Vibe 4/5: Taking over what used to be an Indian restaurant, Mama Rosa Express has done a fantastic job renovating the space. The store is jam packed fill of your Filipino favorites including snacks, cooking ingredients and some frozen foods. The made to order burrito bar is setup like Chipotle, where you go down the line and select what you want in your burrito.Service 4/5 I came on a Friday afternoon with no one else in the store. I immediately was greeted by one of the staff at the register and immediately began my burrito order. Staff was great at explaining everything and quick to prepare my order. Delicious! I love the Chipotlesque concept taken to with Filipino food. The protein choices are currently sisig (pig parts), pork belly and cured beef. Toppings include pickled veggies hard boiled eggs, assorted fresh veggies and cheese. The rice options also include "java" rice (seasoned rice of some sort), jasmine and brown. They mentioned that they would slowly be adding other food options such as fries and nachos as they go. They also have a decent selection of boba milk teas. On my visit I ordered a matcha green milk tea and it was on par with any other milk tea in the area. All in all highly recommend!

I love Mama Rosa's grill in Middle River area. They recently took over another place and opened an express spot. I love the idea of a Filipino burrito using some of my favorite dishes wrapped in one tortilla!! I tried the Lechon and Beef burrito. I will note, I did not go here personally to order so I cannot comment on the staff or cleanliness of the location per se. By the time I got home the burritos sat out for about 30 minutes and it was still delicious! The fillings didn't saturate the tortilla and the additional toppings (e.g. pickled veggies) complimented the burrito so well! I especially love that you can add an egg inside. I will say personally, I like my eggs a little underdone so for me, it felt like it made it a little drier but still delicious! The only & main con was that overall the meat was lacking a bit especially towards the tail ends of the burrito!! With that, while the prices didn't seem terrible maybe a few more meat pieces to fill it up!
