The name Smokehouse would imply that one smokes their product in some form of fashion. I asked the cashier, where they smoke their meat? The reply was "we don't, it is cooked in an oven and finished on the flat top." When I go to a smokehouse, I want that smokey flavor that can only be given by cooking in a real pit, over real wood coals. This is not the place to go, if that is what you are looking for. On a positive note, I will say that the product that is being produced, is tasty, but not what I would consider pit beef or any form of barbeque. Not what I expected at all.

I'm never the one to write a review if I like want your business is doing I give you my money if I don't you will never see me again. Over the past few months I have tried everything thing on the menu. smokehouse pit beef has the best food you can customize anything you order the employees always seem to be happy and well taken care of. the owner is very hands on which I have a lot of respect for. The price are reasonable and you get double the food as a fast food restaurant and you can see it being made. This is my favorite place to stop you lunch or a quick snack. I want to Thank the smokehouse Pit Beef for always upholding there high standards and producing good food at affordable prices.

The prices are very reasonable. The real issue is the grilled food. The pit beef isn't really pit beef. Limitations of being in a strip mall. Had a BOGO offer on sandwiches so the deals are exceptional.

PITBEEF HOGIE SANDWICH WAS COLD AND NASTY...the pit beef wasn't cooked over a pit. The the potato tart with chili and cheese look like he or she just throw it on there with no care. IT not a Real PITBEEF joint stay away. Cannot believe i waste my money on this MESS! Not nice people at all... Touche!!!!!!

The pit beef was cold and didn't taste like it was cooked over a pit. It was tender though. The fries were under cooked, like they didn't spend enough time on the first cooking. The floor is sticky.

Gave it a try. Asked associate if she liked the ribs, her answer was she doesn't eat the ribs. I understand why, they were mushy and had no flavor. Rueben sandwich was also soaking wet. Pulled the meat out just not to waste the $40 spent on inedible food. BBQ sauce was the only plus. Lesson learned don't eat food that employment doesn't eat. Not recommended.

We got the pit beef and the pulled pork, both were delicious, especially with their secret sauce! The three employees were all really nice and were totally unbothered by our toddler running around while they prepared our food. We also got some "dog scraps" to bring home to our pooches, what a cool extra that they offer!! We will absolutely be back!
Kid-friendliness: We have an almost 2 year old daughter. The employees all smiled and waved at her while she ran back and forth in front of the counter. Unlike some other small restaurants, they have a secure door into their kitchen area, so our little runner was unable to escape into the back, which allowed me to sit and enjoy my lunch without having to chase my menace of a small child.
Ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad (w/bacon & extra chicken) but got sent home with no salad dressing #strike1 since I was going home, that was fixable. But THEN I started eating and realized there was also no bacon #strike2 Everything I picked up and thought MIGHT be a chunk of crispy fried bacon ended up being a small crouton ???

This place is under new ownership and they are off to a great start! First I will mention walking in it is way more clean and tidy then I remember. The staff were all friendly and Informative! I recommend the special sauce a nice BBQ sauce with some heat. The food has large portions and was fresh. Reuben was so yummy. Pit beef sandwich my gf loved. Def will be back, weekly specials and desserts looked great as well
