I have been buying pupusas in that place since they opened it and for me they have always been the best but lately they are the worst in the area. They would better sell me a tortilla, they don't even put food in them and they make them super small, too bad because instead of getting better, they are getting worse.

The waitresses with the exception of one are always angry, the food takes a long time to come out from the moment they take the order, it is not a good experience eating here, it is a busy restaurant. I think you need a good kitchen and restaurant manager to be able to meet the demand and keep what they offer on the menu available whenever you order a fruit juice when there is none. ????

Visiting from another state went to family members to dine. My husband ordered carne deshilada. It arrived looking unseasoned thrown together under some eggs. We called our waiter and she hesitantly took the plate back. She and another gentleman arrived harrasing him and saying the cook said there is nothing wrong with the food it's just that you don't like it. He politely told them that it didn't look right, un flavorful and he wasn't going to eat it. He stated he'd still pay for it but he wanted eggs with chorizo and they declined to make it. They took the plate off the tab but the experience and service was one of the worst I've experienced.

Let me start by saying I like the pupusas here better than other local places. What I've noticed since the fall and now middle of winter, service to me has decreased, because of my skin tone. Cada vez que entro, discuten quién debe ser la camarera. Yo hablo español. Sé que mi piel parece un fantasma en este momento, pero no me trates mal por eso. I always get the same server that speaks to me in English. During the summer/early fall, it was a mix of servers that approached me kindly and no problem at all. She had a server assistant last night that refused to speak to me in Spanish but wasn't fluent in English, threw down the plate of pupusas without the other half of my order, or the salsa and curtido/repollo, and walked away while I just sat there waiting. My original server told her to give me the salsa and curtido, and the assistant did everything she could to avoid coming to my table, including going back to the register area while still holding the bowl of curtido. Again, I speak Spanish, my family is from both the Caribbean and South America. I am of latino origins. Yes I'm white but this is just ridiculous to be treated like I'm diseased. Reading other reviews where people have said they got ignored over their race/skin tone are unfortunately true. I always tip over $5 no matter how cheap my bill is too, which is another reason why I liked coming here. You can have a large amount of food for very cheap. It's been an increasing issue since the colder months, including one time the pupusas were so under-cooked that I took them home and threw them away. If they don't want my business until my skin turns brown again, I'll attempt to come back in the hotter months. After my experience last night, I won't be back for a while.
