This is our GO-TO Soul Food Spot for fresh southern Fried Catfish and Whiting. We always splurge on extra sides so each person gets Candied Yams, Collard Greens, and Mac&Cheese! The owners are wonderful. We have been customers since they were only a Food Truck in Montgomery Village! We are so proud of their growth!

After being here for years, I have yet to find good soul food or desserts. I was hopeful but sadly mistaken. The food has zero flavor but the drinks will surely give you heart condition, diabetes and high blood pressure. Mango lemonade not as bad. Strawberry Lemonade… It’s literally swimming in sugar. I would have preferred church punch over that. I ordered 2 veggie plates for $18. It would have been cheaper to just get individual sides. The portions of veggies plates aren’t even half of size of individual sides or sides with the meals even as it cost more. The potato salad doesn’t taste like “soul food” potato salad and made with mustard with raw onions in it. People that make soul food potato salad, DO NOT ADD ONIONS. It taste worse that store bought potato salad. Green beans taste like straight from a can and collards had a weird feel to them. Yams were good but too much sugar. So, clearly used bunch of white sugar versus brown sugar or honey. Lastly, the mac cheese wasn’t the worse but not good either. At 8 pm, I had to bring everything home and recook it. Totally a wasted trip when I could have just gone to store & cooked at home. The sweet potato pie was burned and taste really weird(kinda like burnt pumpkin pie). Def would have been cheaper than the $85 spent.I will say they could work more on greeting customers as well.

I found My cup runneth over Southern Cuisine on doordash. I am very happy I ordered. the whiting sandwich, 1/2 BBQ ribs, and BBQ chicken wings (we also purchase sides, mac & cheese, string beans, yams, French fries and greens) was a big hit with my family. My 81yr old aunt can't stop talking about them lol. I am looking to try some of the other items on the menu soon.

went in today to get the very good strawberry banana pudding I love , 01/28/2025. The new girl said they don't have strawberry banana pudding , just strawberry or just banana , she said this as holding up the strawberry bannana pudding.... She was argumentive , rude and unprofessional , while trying to come off as shy .... The food is good , the service lacked... Also they upped the price on the bannana pudding which is good but not worth 9 dollars .... No need for the owner to respond and be nasty to my review like she does ... this is my opinion your free not to like it but arguing with customers on line about their review just makes you look bad ....

Ordered 3 piece wings, macaroni, and yams yesterday. Order took about 25/30 minutes and it was pretty busy. My food was great though. Yams were real sweet just like I like them. Everything was hot and fresh. Going to come back and try other items.

I placed a takeout order for my whole family and was given a pickup time of 25 minutes. When I arrived, the employee told me the order wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 5 minutes. Unfortunately, they either didn't start the entire order until I arrived, or just gave me a terribly inaccurate pickup time from the start. I waited 5 times as long, almost a half an hour for my order to be completed. This ended up making me late for all my other errands for the night, messing up my schedule.A merchant should at the least give an accurate pickup time. This struck me as extremely unprofessional and highly dissatisfactory customer service. It's not hard to give an accurate pickup time, really. It made my impression wore when another customer was inside seated, heard my initial conversation with the employee, and said "I've been waiting 20 minutes. They never have the food on time". His day was clearly as inconvenienced as mine was from this.Either the kitchen in the back is so haphazardly disorganized that it's harming the business, or they are actively telling customers incorrect times in the hopes that they won't just leave after hearing they have to wait a half an hour longer for the food to be ready. Either way, I won't be back here and I suggest everyone reading this to seek other southern comfort food from a more competent and professional competitor. One who does not give grossly inaccurate estimations or outright lies about the pickup time.

I was in the mood for some soul food and drove to this restaurant. The Open sign was lit and the door was unlocked. We walked in past a family talking in the parking lot. No one was out front and even though when you walk in a chime announces you, no one came out. No bathroom and only one table. We left and went to the Mexican restaurant next door and we saw the same family that we walked past seated at the restaurant. How do they stay in business? It was 12:30 on a Thursday.
