Ordered food via delivery. Food is edible but my sides platter is rarely right. I wanted seafood Mac and cheese as my main side while cabbage and greens were my two sides. Instead they gave me all cabbage as my main side. The cabbage is extremely oily! See photo. This can’t be healthy.

No matter which location you visit the service is always bad. There's never anyone on the front lines to great you. They are always in the kitchen so even if you use the self service kiosk you still wait because it prints out in the front. Food is never ready. Several times they've had to go prepare the drummies and other food at times is dry or soggy. It really is a flip of a coin.

This place does not have enough reviews for me. This food is delicious. Everything VEGAN and amazing. I tried the collards, sweet potatoes and macaroni 😋. So delicious

Good food, getting a little pricey and cancels orders often with no explanation. Long time customer, but will probably I'll probably take a break from ordering at this location.
I'll start by saying I'm not vegan. Do with that info what you wish. 🤷🏾♀️
I've had the fish, crab cakes, drummettes, and sides. I go in often because I work close. The bathroom is clean, the sweet lady at the register is always kind, and I love to dine in.
My usual order is sides only. And my favorite sides are the potato salad and sweet kale salad.

In terms of vegan fare, it's certainly passable for the pricepoint. The portion sizes are above decent...but it does not meet the bar set by other vegan soul food places that do it better in my opinion (Healthful Essence in Southwest Atlanta, SoulVegan in NoLa). For DC, it's relatively an okay vegan spot.
It has the aesthetic of fast casual, but includes a wait that makes one want something more by the end.

I had my order through Ubereats. I did pay for extra portion so I hope I got that. I had 5 drummies, sweet kale and seafood mac n cheese. As a southerner I'd prefer the Mac n Cheese to be more creamier than hearty but it was decent. The food was good however. I love vegan chicken and I'm a sucker for good kale so they both hit the mark. I also ordered blueberry lemon cake but only got a lemon. Tad bit disappointing but I won't bash a black business. Thanks for being prompt with my order and delivery

Beyond disappointed in the customer service here. We ordered twice from Dodah’s. The first time, the order arrived with a dish missing ($20+). When we reached out to Dodah’s, they blamed it on DoorDash though DoorDash picked up what was given to them. That was rough but the food was good so we dealt with the missing dish and $20+ we lost.
However, yesterday, we ordered again. Not only was an entire dish (again $20+) missing, but a side in the entree we received was missing. We attempted to call the restaurant - no answer. We then emailed - no answer.
Extremely unprofessional and no matter the quality of their food, this was absolutely unacceptable.

The food was trash. Lasagna was dry and stale. You can tell it’s been siting out for a while. It might even be leftovers from a prior day. The food lacks flavor for it to be labeled as soul food. I used to get this mushroom sandwich from a vegan restaurant called Mush DC. They are now closed. I tried to see if I could find a replacement, but was sadly disappointed in the lack of flavor and portion size of the fried mushroom sandwich offered at Dodah’s. I wish Sweet & Natural restaurant was still around. They had some of the best vegan food in the area.

Came once and liked it. Came back for lunch today, Friday, at 11:30. CLOSED, inside is dark. Even tho googl says open? If I'm in the area I might give them another shot one day
I've tried both locations, the District Heights, MD and Mt. Rainer, MD. The food is awful!!! Please don't ever order on Uber Eats to deliver your order because Dodah Kitchen will give you the old food, the ver bottom of the pot, I received nothing but stem greens. I will not come back to this nasty food again. It's not worth it, don't waste your time or money.

I use to come here almost everyday when they first opened, now it’s more like once per month. The food is either hit or miss. I decided to give them a try again and it was horrible. I wanted the cauliflower… it was on display, but burnt. A time before that I bought a seamoss drink and immediately had to return it because when I opened it, the smell was atrocious… please never smell bad seamoss, the smell stays with you. With all that being said, I will not be returning to Dodah’s
