I do not recommend. I came here with my husband and son. When I entered I saw the beautiful espresso machine which excited me because I love coffee and teas! We were seated and had a “drink” and food menu. The drink menu was only alcoholic drinks and sodas so I asked the waiter if there was a drink menu for coffee and teas. Her response was “no there is no menu, you can just order any coffee or tea”. This was baffling because yea I could order a latte or espresso but some places have specialty coffees or teas and even if they didn’t, it would still be nice to have a menu so I could know the prices of coffees/teas! Ok moving on to the food. I ordered the “steak” and eggs. Why say steak and eggs and it’s actually roast beef! Also it was suppose to come with hash browns and to my surprise it was served on a hashbrown “patty” that tasted nothing like hashbrowns or even potatoes! The eggs were the only thing that were ok from what I ordered. My husband ordered a burger and he enjoyed it. The pancake was just ok. The service was terrible. She NEVER came and asked how we were enjoying our meal.

Pennroyal is the classy neighborhood spot that you need in your life. The music was subtle in the background, but top-tier! The food was simply delicious, clean, tasty, and well done. The prices were palatable and not too crazy. Excluding the owner's hands on touch with white glove treatmenat, the service was good. But, the wait staff has a little room for growth with service etiquette. This place definitely has a good, chill vibe.
A cool spot, low key..very laid back. Enjoy try it out...

I finally got around to checking them out and they did not disappoint. Maybe five minutes after we were seated a steady stream of people started arriving so you could tell it is a neighborhood favorite. We started out by ordering a combo and the mac and cheese with brisket and bone marrow. The price of the combo is excellent and that mac and cheese...that mac and cheese is a must order. I got the fried chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the chicken pot pie. Both were excellent. The sandwich was crispy and moist, but not over cooked, and the chicken pot pie was like a warm hug on a cold day. The staff was personable and attentive. All in all this was a good experience. I recommend you check them out.

I feel like you can't really go wrong with this quant little gem that offers beautiful decor and friendly customer service. The food good though I have had some items that weren't AMAZING, but good. Brunch and dinner have both served me well! It's a go grab for me!

Went here for Sunday brunch and had a great time! Even though it was busy, we got seated pretty quickly, which was nice. There's a good amount of street parking nearby, so getting there was easy.
The staff were super friendly, and the food and drinks were on point. The whole place has a chill, lowkey vibe that I really liked.
The decor stood out--super fun and eclectic, which made the atmosphere even better. They also have outdoor seating, so I'll have to check that out next time.
Definitely a cute local brunch spot. I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu!

Quaint restaurant with great atmosphere. Loved the Chicken Pancakes 🥞. Just enough maple syrup. Chicken was well seasoned and crunchy. Perfect for me! Will come again. Not used to smaller portions but I must say it was actually just what I needed. Bottomless peach 🍑 mimosas were a great addition to my meal. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us.

Really cute local brunch place in a pretty neighborhood. The food was above average, though the real reason I’d come here is for the vibes especially on a nice day. Seating outside has loads of shade and the street wasn’t loud Sunday noontime.

I had a lovely dinner at Pennyroyal last week. The first thing I noticed when we entered was the stunning live plants in all the tall windows. The restaurant is so uniquely decorated. We sat in the back room, with ferns hanging above.
The menu was so unique, bringing in fresh farm to table options that were all so delicious. The only thing better than the fantastic food was the staff. Everyone, and I mean everyone from the manager, hostess, and even other waitstaff were so exceedingly friendly. I even impromptu hugged a waitress. However, our waitress, Heather, was extra special and friendly. She was so skilled on anticipating our needs and making suggestions. She knew when to check on us, and when to let us sit and enjoy each other's company as well laughed and enjoyed ourselves until long after the restaurant closed.
It really says a lot about the ownership and management of a place where the staff are so obviously joyful and kind.
I would highly recommend this restaurant, and Heather any day!!

We enjoyed a fabulous post-wedding brunch here in October 2024! The food was amazing and the bar area is a gorgeous space that accommodated our 21 guests comfortably. The cocktails are top-notch and we can't wait to go back!

I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich to go. It was good! Just a little messy trying to pick it up with the slaw dripping and slipping out the back. It was a good problem to have, but messy.
The host told me where I could wait for my food, and while it was crowded inside, it was a nice day to wait on the benches outside. He later brought me my food, which was really nice.
It was buzzing in there on a Friday night, which is always a good sign. They have some fantastic dishes. People clearly enjoy the vibes as well! So definitely consider Pennroyal Station for a future date night or celebration with friends?

First impression, it was a nice spot. Loved the "feel" of the place. It is light and airy. However, the owner should take a hosting class or get someone else to manage the door. When we walked in he didn't look up from his phone and it made me think I walked in the wrong door. Eventually he spoke (still not looking up) and asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating. I responded "indoor" and he motioned with a swipe and said "sit anywhere". I looked at my company with a "go somewhere?" expression because at that point, I could have left. My mindset is: If they don't care how they greet you, then they won't care how they feed you.
He didn't hand us menus (that were in front of him) and continued on the phone. Definitely gave me "people gonna come whether I act like I want them here or not." But hey, if it's working for him, kudos.
As for the food, nothing spectacular. I had the salmon toast, which was ample in size, and my company had the chicken wings and gravy biscuits. The waitress was kind and so she redeemed the spot enough for a 3-star review.
