My husband and I sat for 10 mins before we were even acknowledged at the table and then another 5 before a waiter asked if we would like something to drink. Food was only average. Would probably try another restaurant in this area next visit.

Top Chef alumni Edward Lee created the menu and we did their family meal to get a bit of everything. Many different dishes organized into 3 overall courses. Well thought out menu taking southern roots with Korean touches. All was pretty tasty. Starters - Deviled egg tasty. Cornbread with Mike's hot honey moist and tasty. Fried green tomato salad very nice. Smoked chicken wings were good, but forgettable. Mains - blue catfish - tasty. The chicken and waffles was good in taste, but sadly my chicken thigh was hammered and was very dry. Pork spareribs were tasty, but the thought was a bit too fall off the bones and missed some texture (am a competition BBQ Judge and cook, so my point of reference is CSI level bite marks in the meat, but know most people prefer fall of bones.) Mac and cheese solid. Collards were good. Desserts - hummingbird cake truffles and chocolate bourbon mini pecan pies were solid. Drinks were solid. Service was top notch, with clear explanations of dishes.

We enjoyed both visit to Succotash. We have gone once for lunch and once for dinner.
The food was good and the service was good. My wife ordered the Shrimp N Grits, and I ordered the Hangover special.
The second time we went, we ordered the chicken and waffles.
It was a good time had by all.

It's definitely a place to visit if you're at the National Harbor in Maryland!
The food here is great. Incredibly balanced. I’d recommend the kimchi crab dip and the cornbread. This is a southern inspired restaurant with roots from Kentucky. You can feel the southern hospitality through the customer service which is some of the best and unique in its incredibly friendly way. They won’t ask you how your food is when they check in with you. Instead they’ll tell you what you ordered is delicious instead which is much friendlier than typical service. Definitely recommend this place for food, customer service, and overall atmosphere. Left this place very satisfied and will be adding it to my list of places to go back to.

The staff made our 6-year old son feel like a celebrity! Kay (I hope I spelled that correctly) was our server and she did amazing handling our family and a big group as well. She learned our son's name and everyone that came to our table addressed him by name. He said the kids Mac and Cheese was the best he ever had, very buttery, cheesey and good! The crab cake was amazing and the chicken and waffles were superb! Thanks for an enjoyable dinner.

The food was AMAZING! The beverages were AMAZING! There wasn't one thing at this restaurant that didn't taste great. Although this location was oddly crowded for a Friday lunch at noon...but I believe that is a testament to how great everything was. So I will DEFINITELY be back to visit.
