Great customer service tonight at Porthouse Crabcakes & Creamery. It was our anniversary and we were wanting ice cream. We walked up at 6:30 and realized they closed at 4. The owner, Kelly, was leaving as we were walking away. He asked if we wanted ice cream and re-opened the store just for us! We didn’t reaize they make their own ice cream - it was delicious, highly recommend.
Believe the hype! Coming from a beach town where they pride themselves on having the fresh, no-filler crab cakes- this place was surprisingly impressive. They have it set up where you order at the counter and they serve you the food when it is ready. Btw, it was super hot and very fresh. I enjoyed ordering at the counter because there wasn't a server over every five minutes checking on you.. giving it a relaxed, at home feel. No need to wait on re-fillers. Just get it yourself....
