Worst customer service I've ever experienced . Reached restaurant on peak hour and we were requesting one the waiter to find a table for two. He guided us to the table , had us seated and slammed the menu & water glass on the table as if we frustrated him. We then left the restaurant without speaking a word. He just ignored us leaving the seat did not even inquire if anything was wrong which means his acts were intentional. Being a front end customer service provider that is a terminable action. Akira please update your staffs with customer service courses once in a while. Also, I should appreciate the other courteous lady staff who was with us before him.

One of the best Ramen i had in a long time.
Came here on a weekday.. not very busy at lunch time.
We had the volcano and seafood ramen shared a Gyoza.
Ramen was very tasty. Broth was rich.
Service was excellent.
Very clean.

The miso soup I ordered leaked through the bag and there was pieces of avocado stem in multiple pieces of the roll I bought. When I called on the phone they offered a full refund, however when I got there they gave me an attitude, and starting Bargaining and inspected the food container like I was lying. And even kept the few unate pieces ! Lol! Keep in mind my whole order was only 18 dollars… They only refunded 50%, definitely lost a loyal customer.. extremely disappointing and greedy

I ordered Uber eats, beef ramen. The soup broth was so salty. I feel like eating salt. Worst ramen I have ever had.

First time going there. Friendly staff greeted us as soon as we walked in. We were shown to a booth. The waitress warmly greeted us. Water was poured in silver cups and our drink order was taken. I ordered an Oolong Iced Tea. I shared that I have allergies so the waitress showed me what I could order from the menu and be safe. I picked up a piece of crispy chicken with a fork. She walked over and asked if I wanted to try the chop sticks with a Learning aid. She asked permission to assist me and prepared the chop sticks for me to use. I sucked at it but gave it a good try. The Beef Ramen was delicious and full bodied: large slices of beef with a soft cooked egg and a lot of other toppings. I think I need more lessons. The ramen and chicken appetizer were both enjoyable as was the Iced tea! I'll have to return to try other options on the menu. Akira was a wonderful dining experience with warm and friendly staff! Shout out to all three employees who assisted me in my first trip to a ramen shop.

Izakaya’s in Japan typically sell food and drinks so imagine my surprise when I got here to learn this location only sells sodas and tea no alcohol. (which technically is fine but I wanted sake) Nevertheless, we stayed because ramen was a big draw for us. Hubby had the shoyu ramen I got an MD roll and salmon sashimi. Everything was bland. EVERYTHING. Hell, even the soy sauce was bland. This was surprising to me because we have been to the Columbia location and the food wasn’t that bad there. The atmosphere was also uncomfortable because the wait staff seemed truly disinterested in helping. All of that to say I won’t be returning. Bland expensive food is a trend on The Avenue.

Got the beef ramen and chicken wings. Both were excellent. My wife got the sweet potato roll and chicken cutlet meal and loved both of them. Service was great, will definitely come back.

It's nice they let you customize the ramen so if you want something added or removed it's easy.

Ok, the restaurant was a nice place to chill with friends and get a bite to eat. The problem that I had was that the sushi had no taste. Plus, the volcano ramen wasn't as spicy as I was expecting. My review is not to say that this is a bad restaurant, but my friends and I have been aboard and are basing our review on that type of taste.

I love Akira! The service is always fast and the food is amazing. I always start with the Gyoza starter and get the Tonkotsu Ramen as my entree. I like to make it spicy so I always ask my server for a side of chili oil. Out of the 3 locations in the area, the Nottingham is the best!

The staff is wonderful. I ran into a few staff outside, near the parking lot and they were still friendly. They are so solicitous while serving, filling water, and checking on us. Every time I go here the food is great.

Another over rated Maryland restaurant. I’ve never had dry tasteless sushi until I tried this place. I had so much sushi leftover and didn’t even want to take it with me. This restaurant is small, with an uncomfortable layout, so it doesn’t make for (at least for me) a nice atmosphere. Not to mention they don’t even sell alcohol.
