my favorite spot for lunch, dinner, or even a night out!! 🥰
Tonight (4/2/25), my feelings were confirmed. I patronized this business before. The energy I felt was a little uncomfortable, but my daughter wanted to try something new at The Avenue. While the workers were not nasty, I did not feel very welcomed and noticed a difference in the way they greeted others. Tonight we were looking for something quick to eat and my daughter asked to go there for sandwiches. The sign said they closed at 8pm. We walked in at 7:45pm and noticed at least 10 people eating at the tables. As we approached the counter, there were two women at the register. One of the women whispered something to the other woman . I said hello and reached for a menu. The woman put her hand over the menus and said, “We are actually closed.” The energy and tone was also felt by my 12 year old daughter. I understand that it was close to closing, but it would have been appreciated if we were politely informed that they are no longer taking orders for the evening. It was hard to see that they were closed when other customers were still inside being serviced by the waitress. When my daughter made the comment that she never wanted to go there again, it confirmed the feelings I got in the past. We just walked by at 8:55pm and there are still customers inside. Very disappointing.
This place is so cool, it's a small little eatery surrounded by curated wines from different parts of the world wall to wall, the sandwiches available are diverse and delicious. It's so hard to choose one here, highlights for me are the Italian coldcut and the figgy piggy. Small bar in the center of it with some interesting and refreshing cocktails to order. Highly recommend for a quick bite at the Avenue.

Our family tradition is a charcuterie tray on Christmas Eve, but we were so busy, I decided to order one from Ando's, since they had good reviews. I'm not sure if it's the time of year or the fact they refuse to take phone call-just texts only, we went around and around with questions and answers with multiple texts. All of which could have been solved with a single phone call. We were assured the large meat and cheese board would feed 3-4 people for $33. I thought that was reasonable, so I ordered it for pickup today. Then yesterday, we got yet another text saying they are only doing larger ones, so we'd have to pick it up yesterday. Went in to get it and actually commented, "This is it"?!? First of all, it would only serve 2 people as an appetizer in my opinion and certainly didn't contain the amount of meat I would have expected. So now we hav
e to go back to the grocery store to get more items to have a decent charcuterie board tonight! I will not be ordering from them again.
P.S. Also attached is a photo of the charcuterie board we bought at the grocery store for $13. Enough said.

Ando’s is one of my faves! Best wine flight deal around, and with dealers choice you get to try something different every time. Never had a bad meal there either, meatball Mondays, the triple B salad…yum!

Friends and i were visiting from Georgia. Decided to try something for lunch we've never had before. And let me tell you. This place is amazing! Kinda makes me want to move here just for the food! I got the French Onion Roast beef grilled cheese. Yes that is a mouthful but so is the sandwich. It was so good, no sauce needed whatsoever. Will definitely be making a trip back up here soon!

Stopped to have some wine and dessert. The wines that they gave us on the strange 'flight' were not great. Usually you get several different wines that you choose from, with the description of the wine. Not the one they offered. The waiter, or owner, gave us what he thought we'd like. And if you liked it, he'd pour a little more. But I didn't care for any that he poured, even when I told him I liked a sweeter red. Oh well. The flourless tarte was good, even though it wasn't made in house. Eclectic cool place, but we should have had a sandwich from the deli instead.

Would give this place a zero. They lie. They try and pass off as an Italian deli. I saw their small meat case. I looked at the prosciutto and the mortadella. The prosciutto looked over cured, and the mortadella had no pistachio in it. I asked the person behind the counter if this was imported. She couldn't answer. I knew it wasn't. I finally got the truth, this is domestic stuff being passed off as Itallian meat. Waste your money here if you want. I will stick to Pastories and Mastallonis.
