This take out restaurant has delicious Colombian empanadas, I will definitely be back. I just wish they offered a combo deal for buying several at once since $5/ea are a bit expensive. I think $4/ea and 4x$15/8x$25 would be ideal.
I’ve been looking for Colombian empanadas ever since leaving nyc. Finally found my fix after a few years. The place is really small, just a place to get takeout for a quick bite. I tried the beef and cheese empanadas. Both were good. buñuelos were perfect! I appreciated them giving me a tres leches cake on the house. Can’t wait to eat it in the morning with some coffee.
Note to owner: make a yelp and google page more as a Colombian empanada place than just takeout. I’m sure I’m not the only looking these up.

How happy am I to find Empanadas by Abuela?? Delirious! Finally a Colombian place here in Baltimore ( north actually, in Perry Hall).! And oh my goodness, the empanadas are just like I ate in Bogotá, perfectly fried corn dough with wonderful fillings. I especially love the shredded beef and pork! Their aji and salsa verde are perfect complements to the empanadas. Their breads are like nothing around here, pan de yuca, pan de bono, buñuelos! Try them all! Last night we tried the guava pastries, sooo good! The place is mostly takeout. There is one small table there but I believe the cafe next door may be soon offering tables too.

a friend recommended Empanadas by Abuela so we grabbed a few different ones to try. everything was fresh and the shell was perfectly crispy. pork was my favorite. can't wait to dive into the tres leche cake later.

These are the most authentic empanadas I’ve ever had! I recently visited from New York City, and honestly these are better than anything I’ve had in NYC! The owners said they are working on shipping to customers, I am definitely on stand by for this!!

I’ve been there more than 4 times and I would say …. Those are the best Empanadas, buñuelos, postres tres leches, hojaldres, y almojábanas that I have eaten in the United States. The freshly made sauces also taste perfect. The service has been amazing every time.
