I gave this a 2 star because of the restaurant in general. The prices are already high but then they tack on these fees that make it much more expensive. We used to eat here at the very least once a month but more times than not 2-3 times a month. Now, we may go there twice a year and after today we probably won't be back.
As for the review, The food is excellent and the service is good. What I don't understand is why restaurants don't realize that we all expect prices to go up due to price increases from suppliers, payroll etc. but when you start putting signs up before you even sit down that there is multiple fees that's probably enough to turn even the most loyal patron away from your establishment. So we spent $116.35 for food and drinks for 3. After all the fees (not including tip) we paid $140.78. A little ridiculous right? Here is the breakdown, $6.98 tax and $17.45 service fees. What is the service fee for? š¤·š¼āāļø no clue. Attention all restaurants. Stop tacking on stupid fees and just raise the prices of the food.
I predict this restaurant will be out of business at this location in the next 3 years. We went on a Friday around 3pm and the restaurant was virtually empty.

Nice time sushi was really tasty. Service was great but soon as the chef was done cooking, she brought over boxes. Let people have time to eat and enjoy without feeling rushed out.

I would not recommend this place. I havenāt written a bad review in over 5 years, and we eat out at least three times a week. The server was uninterested, inattentive, forgot to bring drinks after asking three separate times. She was apparently depending on the 18% automatic āservice chargeā that the manager said could NOT be removed because of corporate rules. Hereās a rule for you, service industry should provide a service. You do not pay for crappy service.
The sushi and hibachi was not even worthy of a fast take-out joint ( wasted an average of $50 per person). The sushi was sub-grade and one in our party was served raw vegetables while others had a soupy rice and overcooked frozen overcooked soggy vegetables. The manager did remove the frozen veggies from the check.
Perhaps it would have been better prepared at the table, but Iāll never go back. Committing customers to a tip (to insure prompt service) prior to service, is a recipe for laziness. People in the service industry should be appreciated their hard work, but lazy, inattentive servers should not be rewarded.

If youāre looking for an exceptional dining experience in the MDV area, Kobe Steak House is hands down the best place Iāve ever been. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly service that immediately made me feel welcomed. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between elegant and comfortable, making it ideal for a casual dinner, a family outing, or a special celebration.
The food here is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish I tried was full of flavor, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The sushi is some of the best Iāve ever hadāeach roll is crafted with precision, and the fish is incredibly fresh. From classic favorites to more creative specialty rolls, thereās something to satisfy every palate. The attention to detail is evident in every bite, and itās clear the chefs take great pride in their work.
The hibachi experience is equally unforgettable. Watching the chefs prepare the food right at the table is both entertaining and impressive. The skill, timing, and showmanship add an extra layer of excitement to the meal, making it not just about eating but about enjoying the whole experience. The meats and seafood are cooked perfectly, seasoned just right, and complemented by flavorful fried rice and vegetables. Itās an interactive and fun way to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
One thing that sets Kobe Steak House apart is the consistency. Every time I visit, the food, service, and overall experience are consistently excellent. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, always ready to offer recommendations or ensure that everything is just right. The ambiance, combined with the delicious food, makes it a place youāll want to return to again and again.
Whether youāre a sushi lover, a fan of hibachi, or simply looking for a high-quality dining experience in the MDV area, Kobe Steak House is the perfect choice. It combines top-notch ingredients, skilled preparation, and exceptional service into a complete dining experience. I can confidently say itās the best restaurant Iāve been to in the area, and I canāt wait to come back to enjoy more of their incredible dishes.

I come here regularly usually once a month and one of the things I most look forward to is the salad. To the point that I sub out my soup for a second salad. I went last night and they changed the salad dressing and it was terrible. I will reevaluate where to go moving forward. I was very disappointed last night.

This place was great for sushi years ago, but over the past few years has gone downhill. They rarely get carry out orders right anymore. Tomago (egg omelette) instead of Tobiko (fish egg). They almost always screw up my hand roll orders. They donāt seem to care since theyāll still screw up the order after I specifically point out their prior errors. Just sad.

Donāt go here unless you want your order screwed up or when they ā fix itā they donāt give you everything you ordered and itās āyour responsibility ā to check because you canāt get your money back for something you paid for but never even got .. also waited over an hour and a half just to get my food because they gave my food to someone else
Donāt go there unless you want your money stolen.
Excellent food, and very large servings. I could only eat 1/3 of my dishes. I recommend this restaurant! I had filet mignon, scallops, shrimp, lobster, and yum yum sushi!

Chef was great, food was great. Service was terrible. Server forgot to put multiple items in and we had to ask time and time again. We also had a member of our party with celiac allergy and needed food gluten free. They can accommodate but cook in kitchen vs on hibachi. The meal was the first one ordered and took over 1 hour an 15 minutes for it to arrive. The entire table had already finished the service and were finished eating before the meal came out. We asked manager for some type of compensation however he was completely rude and did not even apologize at all. Made multiple excuses and not willing to offer any compensation. I selected this restaurant for my birthday dinner and the check was over $500. You would think a restaurant would at least apologize or offer something for future if policy was not to comp anything. Very disappointed with server and management.

We went to Kobe to celebrate my birthday. The food tasted good but most of the group ended up getting sick with GI symptoms. We had the steak. I called to inform them.

Surcharge of 15% for parties of 1 to 4. You must be out of your mind. I'm a very generous person, but this is bs.
