Assateague Bar & Grill

Walked in and was not greeted whatsoever just with a “let me see your ID” I handed it over and he literally THREW it back at me!!!! Claim they didn’t do espresso martinis but literally saw all the ingredients needed on the shelf! Ordered food and it was INEDIBLE! Came out in 4 minutes and 34 seconds so no need to say more. Nothing was cooked through and soggy and bland!!! DO NOT GO HERE! Waste of my time and money!

My reasons. 1. Waitress never came to me and said she'd be with me in a moment. 2. I had to get her attention after waiting. She never took my order. Someone saw me and he took my order. 3. They attempted to serve me burnt home fries. When I was ready to leave, then she comes to explain why she made me wait. No She did not get a tip. Thank you very much.

We ordered the flounder fish sandwiches and fries. Best fish sandwich at the Ocean. Found this hidden gem on our way to Assateague. Will be back every year can't wait to try the onion soup. Great atmosphere even when we came in not packed, ppl laughing, and music was playing. The staff was great! Next time we will dine in!

My family was starving after spending time at Assateague Island and Frontier Town. This place popped up on our google map while searching for a nearby place to eat lunch.
This restaurant is a hidden gem situated in a little plaza with a convenience store and gas station. Service was quick, and food was fantastic with generous portions. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict and the fried green tomatoes Eggs Benedict. The hash browns were the absolute best we’d all ever had!
I didn’t catch our waitress’s name, but she was very friendly and didn’t mind our two tikes. We would definitely come back here on any future trips.

Such a fun place to eat! Although it might not seem like much from the outside, it has a great vibe on the inside. Definitely recommend eating on the bar side — Annie was a wonderful bartender and waitress. Super friendly. We will certainly be back here again next year.

Food was literally the best we've had all week between the boardwalk and the island. Bartendress didn't know what a passport card was, that was kind of scary, but the drink she made was amazing.

Bathrooms were nice. Atmosphere good. Servers nice. Food was too salary. Breakfast potatoes inedible due to salt and preparation. Mimosas were good!

We had an amazing trip to ABG, the crab balls are OUTSTANDING. Amy our server was wonderful and everything was top notch!!!! This will be our go-to from now on!!!

We did a simple google search for dinner tonight while staying at a local camp ground, Assateague Bar & Grill was one of the first suggestions. When we walked in we were greeted by a lovely waitress as she informed us she was very busy and she was running the bar side and restaurant side by herself. Annie was so friendly and kind our wait didn’t even matter. When we got our food everyone was extremely impressed with their meals. Everything was DELICIOUS. One of the cooks (he had a neck tattoo) had absolutely no issue running her food when he could and helping as she ran both sides of the establishment! We even had a screaming 2 year old with us and Annie did amazing defusing her tantrum and assuring us she wasn’t bothered by our cranky toddler!
We WILL be back ON A SATURDAY simply to see Annie ! Thank you so much for an amazing experience!

Wow. Was a little bit turned off by the gas station outside but this place rocked our socks off. I would never think that I would order a crab eggs Benedict in a gas station parking lot but my God it was good. The bloody Mary’s were so good I had two of them. My other friends all had breakfast items and they were incredible. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I didn’t go to the bathroom but I heard that it had really great decor. Looking forward to coming here again in the future. Shout out to Diane!
